for the A.G.M. is Monday, JANUARY 26, 2015. All documentation for
the A.G.M. will be available on Sunday, February 8th, 2015, i.e. one
week prior to the A.G.M.
COFFEE - Please join us for coffee TODAY following the 7:45 a.m.
service, and each week between the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. services.
Everyone welcome!
DEAR FRIENDS AT ST. ANDREW’S - Timothy, my brother, and his wife,
Penny, have been on the prayer list for several months. Timothy is now
in long term care at Saanich Peninsula Hospital. We are happy to report
that for the past few weeks he is showing continuing health improvement.
Thanks be to God! Stephen and Heather Hives
FAITHLINK - Dear Companions in Christ: Once again I write, inviting
you to a meeting of all the churches on the Peninsula. The purpose of
the group is to show unity of our churches in our love for God and Christ,
- to the wider community.
Thus far, we have had 3 meetings with people from 12 different
churches at various times. Two of the churches worked with the Sidney
Business Improvement Area in their carol singing on the streets of
Sidney during the holiday season. And two other churches worked with
Beacon Community Services, assisting them in their coordination of
donations for needy families for Christmas. A good beginning for a small
group.
As we begin a new year, it would be inspiring to have representatives
from all 18 churches. Our next meeting is Wednesday January 28 at
2:30 at the Saanich Peninsula Presbyterian Church. We will be
discussing next steps and we would love to have someone(s) from your
church attend. I am attaching a notice of the meeting, which I would ask
you to post and to encourage attendance. Yours in Christ, Helen
Evans, Coordinator, Holy Trinity Anglican Church
PHONE SERVICE - Please expect phone service to the office and kitchen
lines to be interrupted during the next couple of weeks due to service
changeover. If you are unable to reach the St. Andrew’s office at these
numbers # (250-656-5322 and 250-656-7022) please make contact
through Lois’ cell phone #. Thank you.
FLOWER CALENDAR 2015 - The Flower Calendar for 2015 is posted at
the back of the church. There are still a few Sundays to chose from
throughout the year. Please fill in your name and phone number beside
the day you want to donate flowers. **Please note that we
discourage the use of scented lilies and baby’s breath in
consideration of those with allergies.**
PWRDF REP NEEDED - We need a new St. Andrew’s representative for
the Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund. Rev. Bruce has
retired from the post. Duties would include making periodic
announcements to the parish about PWRDF initiatives in the world.
Please contact the office if you are interested in helping.
CELTIC VESPERS BY CANDLELIGHT - An hour of quiet music and
reflection, with Denis Donnelly on harp and Lanny Pollet on flute.

Eternal Father, who at the baptism of Jesus revealed him to be your Son,
anointing him with the Holy Spirit, keep your children, born of water and

Prayer Over the Gifts, For BAS only
Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation; through
your goodness we have this bread to offer, which earth
has given and human hands have made. It will become for
us the Bread of Heaven.
Blessed be God forever.
Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation; through your
goodness we have this wine to offer, fruit of the vine and
work of human hands. It will become for us the Cup of
Salvation.
Blessed be God forever.

Acknowledgement - As we gather we recognize that we live, work and
play on the traditional lands of the Coast Salish Peoples. We also join
in a line of Anglicans who have worshipped on these lands. As we
continue we commit ourselves as a settler church and people to
continue with our First Nations neighbours on the journey of truth and
reconciliation.
