Choose the most appropriate for your specific case. If inlet air for the generator cannot be taken from the central ventilation, then a filter box satisfying at least class ASHRAE EU3 shall be installed as shown. The inlet air can then either be taken from above the false ceiling or from the outdoors with precautions taken to prevent the entry of moisture or mist. Please do not take air from directly inside the12" kitchen. To minimize 2the fre12" Min Min quency of filter changes, use an air source with the least pollutants. The temperature of the inlet air shall never exceed NFPA 96 104°F (40 °C). Exhaust duct construction and clearances C 1 Regarding odor reduction, AirMaid® is very effective provided there is at least 2 seconds of dwell time (sometimes referred to as “reaction time”) for the ozone to react with the exhaust gases within the duct. This is a very important consideration and must be taken into account while planning the exhaust ventilation for your facility. 6 5 4 3 2 11 10 8 7 6 5 4 4 9 3 7 8 6 4 4 5 3 B 12" Min 12" Min 12" Min 12" Min 2 NFPA 96 Exhaust duct construction and clearances 6 5 2 NFPA 96 Exhaust duct construction and clearances 1 1 4 3 A D Boxed detail shows connection to a grease duct or hood.
