Whether looking to improve
fitness, develop stamina and resistance, lose weight,
train for an event or return to exercise from injury,
Swimfit provides a tailored, full-body workout to help
swimmers reach their own specific goals. Workouts
range depending on ability, and last for between 30 and
60 minutes.

Every big victory starts with a
small one.
BODYPUMP - The original structured weighted workout, with
the motivation of music and easily adjustable weights. This is a
challenging and effective workout for all the major muscle groups.
Total Abs - A short class dedicated to toning and strengthening
the muscles in the abdominal and lower back area for a firmer
body and better posture.
Legs Bums and Tums - After a short simple aerobic warm up,
a combination of easy to follow exercises focus on improving
muscular endurance and tone in the legs, abdominals and bottom.
BODYATTACK - A high energy, structured, athletic fitness
class which is a great way to get fit or get fitter. Simple
routines involving running and jumping can challenge your
fitness or be modified to suit your current abilities.
Circuits - A simple to follow effective workout consisting of a
series of short bursts of a variety of cardiovascular/calorie burning
movements and muscle toning/strengthening exercises.
BARRECONCEPT - is a unique ballet barre workout, set to highenergy music, which dramatically transforms the entire body. The
focus is on toning the thighs, lifting the butt, sculpting the arms
and flattening the abs, whilst simultaneously burning fat.

Muscular Conditioning
and Toning
Aerobics - A fantastic class for calorie burning and
co–ordination combining mixed impact movements to
upbeat music.
Masters Swim - A structured session in the pool aimed
to improve stroke technique, stamina and flexibility whilst
providing an all over workout. A great way to complement
dryside training with less impact on the body but still hitting
a high intensity. Must be able to swim 100m to attend.

Step - A great calorie burning class involving a variety of
movements of different intensity on and around the step
that’s good for co– ordination as well as the muscles of the
thighs and bums.

Cycle - A really effective, motivating calorie burning /
cardiovascular workout on our indoor bikes that involves
no routines or need for co–ordination.

Energetic workouts that will raise your heart rate to
burn calories. These classes will improve your aerobic
fitness, reduce body fat, lower blood pressure and
cholesterol levels.

Extend, Relax and
Re-Energise
These classes concentrate on developing good posture and
muscular control to improve appearance and function. They
are delivered at a lower level intensity and will also give you
time to relax, de-stress and restore your energy levels.
BODYBALANCE - A strong, structured class focusing on flexibility
and posture combining the disciplines of yoga, pilates and tai chi
performed to music. The longer class includes more yoga and
relaxation for even greater benefits in strength and wellbeing.
Yoga - This traditional eastern discipline combines strength and
flexibility through a series of movements linked with a focus
on breathing. Different yoga disciplines vary in their speed and
intensity but all help develop a sense of inner wellbeing and calm.
Pilates - Pilates is a fantastic technique for strengthening
and balancing all the muscles of the body to help rehabilitate
and prevent injuries as well as improve posture and range
of movement.
Aqua Natal (£) - Aqua Natal aims to help maintain fitness during
pregnancy - allowing for an easier pregnancy, delivery and
recovery. Exercises can be adapted for each stage of pregnancy to
allow for gentler or more focused exercise. The session is led by a
qualified Midwife.
Express
classes
These are fast and efficient workouts. Designed for those
who are short of time but still enjoy the atmosphere of
training in a group.
Express Abs - A short class dedicated to toning and strengthening
the muscles in the abdominal and lower back area for a firmer body
and better posture.
Express SYNRGY - Various upper body and lower body exercises
to get the heart rate up, using a combination of weighted balls,
battle rope, TRX and boxing. A great workout in just 45-mins.
GRIT - Les Mills GRIT Series small group training sessions are the
most intense 30 minutes your body will ever experience. Using
strength, power, plyometric and endurance based movements to
get big results, superfast.
Swimfit - A 30 minute class developed by swimming experts at
the ASA, Swimfit, powered by British Gas, is your FREE online and
pool-side coaching session lead by ASA instructors that provides
you with a gym style workout programme for the pool as well
guidance and tips on how to improve your swimming strokes.
Themed
Classes that add variety and interest – such as dance
styles and martial arts.
Karate - Karate is an ancient martial art/selfdefence
discipline that has great physical benefits.
Zumba Aqua - Dance inspired aqua class using latin rythms
and the properties of the water for cardio and tone and a
great deal of fun get ready to party in the pool!!!.
Zumba - A fusion of Latin and International music that
creates a dynamic, exciting, and effective fitness system.
Come join the party!
Ballet Fit - Dance is a great way to burn calories and have fun
whatever the style of dance performed; this class could be
good for your social life as well as your body.
ZUMBA® GOLD is based on the same dance moves
used in the original Zumba class. The Gold class, however,
is less intense, with dance routines designed for beginners
and older adults using modified movements. Zumba Gold
provides an appropriate workout for those just beginning
a fitness program.
Interval Training - High intensity aerobic fitness and
strength training. Using short timed intervals of exercise.
High Energy Workout - A mix of high energy aerobics,
muscle strength and endurance exercises including some
Tabata Training.
Box Fit - A varied workout using basic boxing skills
combined with calorie burning and muscle endurance
exercises.
