way to work out in the pool!

fitter, finding your way back to
health or just wanting to improve
your current fitness levels may look
the simplest but they can also be the hardest.

small one.
Muscular Conditioning
and Toning
Extend, Relax and
Re-Energise
These classes work on your muscles to improve
fitness & appearance. This will also help improve
your body composition, blood glucose levels and
athletic performance. Good muscular fitness will
also reduce your risk of musculoskeletal problems.
These classes concentrate on developing
good posture and muscular control to improve
appearance and function. They are delivered at a
lower level intensity and will also give you time to
relax, de-stress and restore your energy levels.
BODYPUMP - The original structured weighted
workout, with the motivation of music and easily
adjustable weights. This is a challenging and effective
workout for all the major muscle groups.
BODYBALANCE - A strong, structured class focusing
on flexibility and posture combining the disciplines of
yoga, pilates and tai chi performed to music. The longer
class includes more yoga and relaxation for even greater
benefits in strength and wellbeing.
Legs Bums and Tums - After a short simple aerobic
warm up, a combination of easy to follow exercises
focus on improving muscular endurance and tone in
the legs, abdominals and bottom.
High Intensity Workout - A sport specific circuit class
designed to enhance your sporting performance or just
give you a good workout, see in club posters for this
month’s theme.

fitness, develop stamina and resistance, lose weight,
train for an event or return to exercise from injury,
Swimfit provides a tailored, full-body workout to help
swimmers reach their own specific goals. Workouts
range depending on ability, and last for between 30 and
60 minutes.

Aqua - A fitness class in the pool where the
resistance of the water makes the calorie burning
and muscle toning exercises highly effective
as well as supporting some of the body weight
minimising impact and reducing stress
on the joints.
Facilities close 30 minutes prior to Club
closing time.
All sessions are led by a ASA trained, fully qualified

BODYCOMBAT - A high energy structured
workout that combines movements from the
martial arts, boxing and kick–boxing in an effective
“non–contact” calorie burning workout that’s also
good for unleashing frustration.

calorie burning / cardiovascular workout on our
indoor bikes that involves no routines or need
for co–ordination.

improve your aerobic fitness, reduce body fat,
lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

Aerobic Fitness
and Calorie Burning
Yoga - This traditional eastern discipline combines
strength and flexibility through a series of movements
linked with a focus on breathing. Different yoga
disciplines vary in their speed and intensity but all
help develop a sense of inner wellbeing and calm.
Pilates - Pilates is a fantastic technique for
strengthening and balancing all the muscles of the
body to help rehabilitate and prevent injuries as well
as improve posture and range of movement.
Express
classes
These are fast and efficient workouts. Designed
for those who are short of time but still enjoy the
atmosphere of training in a group.
Themed
Classes that add variety and interest – such as
dance styles and martial arts.
Express Kettlebells - A short, dynamic and exciting
class class designed to improve functional fitness,
power and strength using weighted kettlebells.
Dance - Dance is a great way to burn calories and
have fun whatever the style of dance performed;
this class could be good for your social life as well
as your body.
Express SYNRGY - Various upper body and lower body
exercises to get the heart rate up, using a combination
of weighted balls, battle rope, TRX and boxing. A great
workout in just 30-mins.
Zumba - A fusion of Latin and International music
that creates a dynamic, exciting, and effective
fitness system. Come join the party!
Functional Core - Benefit from improved balance,
abdominal strength and posture within this 30 minute
dynamic core session.
BARRECONCEPT - is a unique ballet barre workout,
set to high-energy music, which dramatically
transforms the entire body. The focus is on toning
the thighs, lifting the butt, sculpting the arms and
flattening the abs, whilst simultaneously burning fat.
Fitsteps - A fitness programme with Ballroom and
up tempo steps of the Latin dances to create a really
fun, energetic and effective way to stay fit and keep
trim that appeals to everyone.
