Introduction Back Painted Glass There is no architectural material more versatile and beautiful than glass and at Fusion Glass Designs we are especially well equipped to understand its far-reaching potential. Applied colour coatings in transparent, opaque and metallic, in a wide range of standard colours and bespoke. These can be applied to any type of glass. Many years of experience, extensive technical knowledge and perhaps most significantly, a flexible and imaginative creative approach, have brought us commissions on a fascinating range of projects. We have come to realise that the possibilities for this remarkable material are endless. Combining new and traditional methods, we have tackled countless technical and creative challenges producing work widely admired for both its quality and originality. Processing Fusion Glass Designs provides a full in-house glass processing service which includes the processing of float glass, low iron glass and silvered glass in 4mm-25mm. Kiln Cast Glass Fusion Glass Designs has the largest facility for kiln cast glass in the world. The company produces a diverse range of kiln cast textures. In addition bespoke textures and designs to commission can be created. Kiln cast glass can be tailormade to client’s requirements including curved to radius, cut to complex shapes and drilled or countersunk. Kiln cast glass can also be sandblasted, silvered, have a range of colours applied to it and can be toughened or laminated. Surface Decorated Glass Sandblasting. Acid Etching. Gilding. Screen Printing. Effects range from simple frosting, which can incorporate logos, patterns and graphics, to more complex deep-carved, 3-dimensional work. Subtle effects can be achieved by etching hard and soft lines, semi-tones, layering and a variety of textures. Surface decoration can be applied to toughened, laminated kiln cast and curved glasses. A polymer coating is applied to all sandblasted glass to prevent marks and for ease of maintenance and cleaning. UV Bonding Bonding glass to glass without mechanical fixing. Laminated Glass As well as its structural and safety advantages of PVB Laminated glass, there are a wealth of decorative possibilities with laminated glass, allowing for the inclusion of opaque and transparent, fabrics, papers, wood veneers and metal meshes. This enables structural, acoustic and decorative applications. Laminating can be carried out using annealed or toughened glass of any thickness to create safety glazing for areas requiring special consideration. It can be produced in flat sheets or bent to radius. Fusion Glass Designs can also digitally print onto the PVB interlayer high-resolution images prior to laminating. All glass can be combined with fire rated glass subject to specification. All glass can be integrated into insulated/double glazed units.
