Important Notes:
1. At least 48 hours of this program (including 12 dissertation credits) must be earned at WKU. The EDD
Program requires a minimum of 60 hours beyond the Master’s degree.
2. The student will translate course work to the Program of Study Form and submit to Graduate School in
the first term or before completion of 12 hours.
3. The student should declare a research topic and select a dissertation chair and committee upon
completing 21 required EDLD core credits.
4. Upon completion of required EDLD core coursework and at least half of the electives, the student and
chair should schedule the qualifying exam using EDD Form 2. Graduate School will accept EDD Form 2 as
Admission to Candidacy.
