Advanced Traffic Homicide Investigations
This FDLE 80 hour Basic Traffic Homicide Investigations course is the first in a series of traffic crash investigations. Those attending
must pass a written exam with a minimum score of 80%. Students may be eligible for salary incentive.
Course Instructor: SPC adjunct instructor, Frank Burke is a retired Florida Highway Patrol trooper with an extensive background in
traffic crash investigations. Frank has taught extensively for FHP and specialized in teaching Traffic Crash Investigation, Basic
Traffic Homicide, Advanced Traffic Homicide, Traffic Reconstruction, Speed Measurement, DUI Investigation, Photogrammetry,
Test Maintenance, Interviewing and Traffic Laws. During his tenure with FHP, Frank was the recipient of the Exceptional Service
Award from Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and the FHP trooper of the Year award. Frank was recognized by M.A.D.D. for his DUI
enforcement. Frank appeared on TV Talk Segment, “Behind the Badge”. Frank was selected for the traffic segment because of his
expertise in traffic related issues.
