ASX Announcement
DIAMOND DRILLING CAMPAIGN TO COMMENCE AT
ANOSIVOLA COPPER GOLD PROJECT
Aziana is pleased to announce that it has mobilised a drill team and diamond drill rig
to commence a drilling program at its 100% owned Anosivola Copper Gold project.
Drilling is set to commence the first week of February 2015. Aziana’s technical team
has designed the program to test prospects along the Anosivola East to Bevomanga
zone (AEB) that have returned a strong magnetic response and high chargeability
identified via gradient array Induced Polarity surveying (IP) and additional dipoledipole traverses. The initial program will commence with 4 holes and approximately
1,000m of coring.

DIAMOND DRILLING CAMPAIGN TO COMMENCE AT ANOSIVOLA COPPER GOLD PROJECT
About Anosivola
The Anosivola project lies within a historically producing Cu-Au belt in south-central
Madagascar, 300 kilometres south-east of the capital, Antananarivo.
The license area is underlain by meta-sedimentary rocks of the Ikalamavony
Complex, consisting of a series of amphibolite facies volcanics, schists, gneisses and
marbles, intruded by several phases of granitic-dioritic melts. Surface mineralisation
consists of malachite, azurite, chalcocite and chalcopyrite with minor bornite in veins
and disseminations through the host marbles, gneisses, diorite, and post-tectonic
doleritic dykes.
The project consists of a single tenement, TN26218, of 87.5 km2 (14 blocks).
Exploration Work to Date on the AEB
♦
Ground mapping which located widespread Cu-Ag-Au min along a 6km length
of the AEB shear.
♦
Aeromagnetics defined the AEB and interpretation of the data suggested that
it was marked by late stage magnetite alteration.
♦
Results from trench sampling have shown very positive results, including
primary sulphides at surface, with best channel samples across mineralised
veins of:
4.0m @ 7.17% Cu, 45.3g/t Au, and 125.2g/t Ag;
3.0m @ 6.72% Cu, 5.49g/t Au, and 224g/t Ag;
7.3m @ 8.76% Cu, 0.08g/t Au, and 10.72g/t Ag;
3.2m @ 12.37% Cu, 1.20g/t Au and 13.0g/t Ag;
1.2m @ 11.50% Cu, 1.61g/t Au, and 4.1g/t Ag, and 134ppm Mo; and
2.6m @ 4.48% Cu, 4.5g/t Au, and 79.7g/t Ag.
♦
Early stage diamond drilling to date was limited by rig capabilities, but has
shown extensive and intense hydrothermal alteration within the AEB. Hole
ANDH04 at the north end of the Bevomanga area intersected malachitebearing weathered gneiss from 2-12m and strongly quartz-epidote-chloritemagnetite altered gneiss to total depth of 50m. Assays of half-core from the
hole returned 10.2m @ 3.66%Cu, 0.02g/t Au, and 5.8g/t Ag from 1.85m.

Induced Polarisation surveys to define drill targets have located several
anomalous trends containing “pods” of high chargeability, which have been
interpreted as sulphide accumulations.

Summary
The presence of multiple positive factors, including structural setting, hydrothermal
alteration zones, strong surface mineralisation including primary copper sulphides,
and Induced Polarisation (IP) chargeability anomalies at depth, demonstrate a high
level of prospectivity for economic Cu-Ag-Au deposits in the AEB zone of the
Anosivola Project.
