Johnson (212) 875-5718; [email protected] NEW YORK PHILHARMONIC ENSEMBLES AT MERKIN CONCERT HALL February 15, 2015 Musicians from the New York Philharmonic To Perform Works by Krzysztof Penderecki, Sibelius, and Giannini The New York Philharmonic Ensembles, composed of musicians from the Orchestra, will give its fourth performance of the 2014–15 season on Sunday, February 15, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. at Merkin Concert Hall with a concert featuring Krzysztof Penderecki’s String Trio; Sibelius’s String Quartet in D minor, Voces intimae, Op. 56; and Giannini’s Piano Quintet. The musicians on the program will be violinists Quan Ge, Anna Rabinova, Na Sun, Shanshan Yao, and Yulia Ziskel; violists Irene Breslaw, Dawn Hannay, and Rémi Pelletier; cellists Qiang Tu and Nathan Vickery; and guest pianist Keun A Lee. Since 1984 the Philharmonic Ensembles series has presented diverse programming of both classical masterpieces and modern compositions.
