Early Childhood Developmental Team:
Regional outpatient speech language pathology
services are provided to children from birth to
school entry through the Public Health Services
office.
Inpatient physical therapy services are provided
to children while in hospital with a referral from
the attending physician. Outpatient physical
therapy services are provided to children from
birth to 18 years of age through the therapy
services department of the health region.
Provides specialized team assessments and
treatment in speech language pathology and
physical therapy, childhood psychology, Autism
Spectrum Disorders team, and dietician.
The Early Childhood Development Team has an
open referral and caregivers may contact
306-778-5280 for an appointment.
Caregivers may request these services by
contacting 306-778-5280. A doctor’s referral
is not required to access services. Inpatient
speech language pathology services are not
provided, however referrals are accepted from
inpatient services for outpatient follow up.

Regional outpatient speech language pathology
(SLP) services are provided to children from
birth to school entry through the Public Health
Services office.
Inpatient physical therapy services are provided
to children while in hospital with a referral
from the attending physician. A referral is
generally not needed except for post-operative
and acute respiratory conditions.
Inpatient occupational therapy services are
provided to children while in hospital with
a referral from the attending physician. A
referral is generally not needed except for postoperative and acute respiratory conditions.
Caregivers may request these services by
contacting 306-691-1528. A doctor’s referral is
not required to access services.
Acute health episode speech language
pathology services are not provided, however
referrals are accepted from inpatient services
for outpatient follow up.
Specialized speech language pathology services
such as feeding and swallowing, and video
fluoroscopy are referred to Tertiary Clinics
and/or Assessments. Follow up treatment
and management services are provided by
the regional Speech Language Pathologist
in consultation with the specialized service
provider(s).
Outpatient physical therapy services for those
conditions other than musculo-skeletal are
provided to children from birth to 5 years
of age through the Five Hills Health Region
Paediatric Therapy Services team. Children
over the age of 5 are seen for monitoring and
program updates on a limited basis. No referral
is required to access outpatient services.
Outpatient occupational therapy services are
provided to children from birth to 5 years of
age through the Therapy Services department
of the health region. Older children are seen
for monitoring and program updates on a
limited basis. No referral is required to access
outpatient services. Caregivers may contact

Children of all ages with musculo-skeletal
injuries have services provided through the
outpatient department of Therapy Services.

are provided to children from birth to

referral is required to access outpatient

provided one time assessments and
follow up treatment for acute and post
operative physical therapy.
