Our products have a very long history and tradition. The golden age of the
art of Iznik tile making was in the 16th century. But as the orders from the
palaces declined, and ancient craftsmen kept their secrets of production
very close, the art gradually disappeared and was lost 400 years ago.
After three years of research and development, the Iznik Foundation, partner of Iznik Tiles and Ceramics, was able to revive the ancient techniques.
The quality of the tiles being produced today in fact surpasses the quality of
those produced in Iznik during the 16th century. The Iznik Foundation has
restored a wonderful art form that was once lost to time, making it an integral part of contemporary daily life.
