1. To further develop and practice the concept and skills of narrative
therapy
2. To learn more advanced maps and skills for on-going practice of
narrative therapy
3. To have a chance to go through narrative interview in a small
group with an experienced narrative practitioner
4. To have more direct narrative practice in a small group with the
input from an experienced narrative practitioner

The intermediate course would emphasize on practice acquisition
through small group practice led by tutors and other experiential
learning opportunities.
With more practice in small supervision groups, the course aims to
further consolidate and develop what the class participants had
learned about narrative concept and skills.
1. Completion of the Basic Course of Narrative Therapy in SBHK; or
2. Completion of equivalent basic narrative course in HK or
overseas

Mr. Ip is a Clinical Psychologist practicing in Hong Kong. After graduating with his master degree in
clinical psychology in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, he has been working in psychotherapy and
counseling service for more than ten years. He also obtained his international post-graduate diploma in
Narrative Practice in Australia. The program was taught by Michael White who is the founder of narrative
therapy. Apart from his clinical duties, Mr. Ip is currently appointed as Honorary Lecturer and Honorary
Practicum Supervisor in HKU M. Soc. Sc in Clinical Psychology Program. He is Honorary Practicum
Supervisor in CUHK M. Soc. Sc in Clinical Psychology Program. He had done various Narrative training
course and Narrative supervision in SBHK, BU narrative training program, SWD and different NGOs
since 2005.

Target
Ms. Yau works as a clinical psychologist in a social service setting in Hong Kong. She comes from a
background of play therapy and family therapy. She works with children and families struggling with
multiple problems such as abuse, trauma, poverty, mental health problems, etc. She has been actively
engaging in narrative practice since 2000. She obtained the Post-graduate Diploma on Narrative
Practice in Dulwich Centre, Adelaide, Australia in 2005. She is currently a clinical supervisor for the
master programs on clinical psychology in HKU and CUHK. She is also an honorary lecturer in the
clinical psychology program in HKU. She has taught in various courses and workshops on narrative
therapy held by different organizations including universities, NGOs and the Social Welfare Department.
Stella Siu has completed the International postgraduate diploma in narrative
therapy and community practice at the Dulwich Centre, Australia in 2009. She
worked as a clinical psychologist at different agencies and supervised a team of
counselors before going into private practice in 2012. Stella teaches part-time
at different universities and theological seminaries since 2005. She is also a
clinical supervisor of different community colleges and a children's home.
