 EZ Jelly Roll Ruler by Kimberly Einmo.
I'll have rulers available in class.
 45 or 60 mm Rotary cutter. Splurge on a new
blade!
 Cutting mat
 Rotary cutting ruler; MUST have 45 degree
line! Bring your favorite size ruler for cutting
yardage and strips.
 Square ruler, 10½" or larger with 45 degree
line. Optional for class, but necessary for
squaring-up blocks after all blocks are
completed outside of class.
 50 wt. cotton sewing thread (I love Aurifil!) to
match your background fabric.
 BSS including anything that will make your
classroom sewing experience more enjoyable!

or 40 – 2½” strips
(Use a precut bundle of strips or
fabric from your stash or scraps!)

INSTRUCTIONS

2½ yds


To make this quilt, please have a variety of at least
20 different fabrics for a total of 40 – 2½” strips.
(Fabric strips can be repeated twice. 40 different
strips are encouraged!)
Bring all strips to class
Cut 5 – 5¼" strips; subcut 36 – 5¼" squares. Cut
each square once diagonally to yield 72 A triangles
Cut 6 – 6¾" strips; subcut 36 – 6¾" squares. Cut
each square once diagonally to yield 72 B triangles
Background Fabric
(Choose a tone on tone or solid that
has strong contrast from the strips)
