It has brought some of the biggest – and funniest – performers in the world to Glasgow over the years; reinforcing the city’s position on the global comedy circuit, and 2015 will be no different with an eclectic line-up of top comedians from home and abroad. The calibre of the Festival programme is a strong reflection of why Glasgow enjoys an enviable worldwide reputation, both as a place to visit and as a city which can put on a show. We're well used to staging major events with huge international appeal. Glasgow was recently voted the friendliest city in the world by travel bible Lonely Planet – Glaswegians are renowned for their hospitality and good humour, so it’s no surprise that we’re home to one of the best comedy festivals in the world which perfectly encapsulates the city’s personality. Whether you want to see home-grown comic talent or a plethora of leading international acts, and with more than 400 shows across 46 venues over 23 laughter-filled days, I hope everyone who attends the Glasgow International Comedy Festival has a fantastic time. It’s true that PEOPLE MAKE GLASGOW laugh: let's celebrate! The festival ticket hotline 0844 873 7353 is open 9am to 9pm seven days a week and allows you to buy tickets for most festival shows using your credit or debit card. Please note the 20% Virgin Trains offer is only available online. Tickets can also be purchased in person from selected individual venues, check venue list for venue contact details. Please note that a booking fee may be charged with the exception of some tickets bought in person. *Tickets for shows at The King's Theatre will be subject to an additional £1 restoration levy.
