J.W. Cate teens continue to help around the
community. The participants really enjoy helping others
and understand they are making a bigger impact
through these activities and events.
OUT OF SCHOOL (OST) GRANT
J.W. Cate Staff would like to wish you and your family
a happy, healthy 2015! We are looking forward to a
fun, successful year. We asked some of the
participants what they are looking forward to this year
and here are some of their responses:

hopefully keeping the Rays in St. Pete.”

TASCO SPORTS LEAGUES
J.W. Cate’s TASCO Flag Football
Season is in full swing. The team has
been working hard to get their plays
and routes down. Games are on
Saturdays at Meadowlawn Field,
located at 6050 16th St. N. For more
details on game times and practices, please contact
Coach Justin or Coach Jessica.
If your teen has received a scholarship for the City of St.
Petersburg’s Out of School Time (OST) Program, each
participant must comply with the following performance
measures and minimum service levels to maintain a
scholarship:
● Participants enrolled in the scholarship program
must attend a minimum of one hour per day and may
not be absent for more than five (5) days per
calendar month.
● All participants are required to complete any
program measuring tool required by the grant
funder.
● We reserve the right to remove a participant due to
behavioral issues.
● Field trip eligibility is determined by participant’s
behavior and attendance.
● Participants are required to participate in enrichment
programs throughout the year, i.e., Teen Outreach
Program (T.O.P), teacher enrichment activities,
teacher tutoring, guest speakers, educational
programs, community service projects, etc.
Before School and/or After School Program
● Participants absent for more than five (5)
consecutive days with no contact from the
parent/guardian will be removed from the
scholarship program.
● Priority summer registration is contingent on participant attendance.
