Skeem Saam will challenge old notions of masculinity by promoting the new positive

A new reality talent search TV show to unearth fresh young mzansi talent in order to
form South Africa‟s next hot music group. Auditions for the show will be held at the
Bassline on the weekend of the 5-6 April, where the „king of kwaito,‟ Arthur
Mafokate, will lead a team of judges in scouting for talented dancers, singers,
rappers and musicians who have what it takes to participate in this 13 episode reality
show.
Twenty five contestants will be selected to enter the 'CAN DO! Academy' for a
number of weeks and they will be given a complete musical education through
various, vigorous challenges and interactions with industry role models. This includes

songwriting

fitness/dancing classes, image consultation, and workshops with professionals.
At the end of each episode finalists will pick their weakest or least favorite contestant
