The new era for Super League is here
With it a new format to the season that sees an initial number
of games determine if and how we go on in the second half of
the season in the Super Eights phase of the competition.
This of course means that every minute of every single game matters
as we strive to make sure we are in the top four places at the very end
for the ‘sudden death’ play off that will take us back to Old Trafford
where we intend to return in October 2015. Add to this we have the
World Club Series game against Brisbane Broncos in February 2015
so the chance to pit our skills against those of the NRL.
With two players returning back to join the fold plus a couple of
new faces to watch it will be another great year to enjoy the action
and of course we would like to see you benefitting from advertising,
sponsorship, corporate hospitality or a combination of all three. We
welcome our new main club partner, Coral and welcome back our
other shirt and shorts sponsors from last year.
We would love you to join us in any of the opportunities that we offer,
large or small. You are all welcome to be part of the “Wigan family” in
this new era. Our TV viewing audience grew again last year, we were
well in front of the league average for our televised games. Our social
media contacts have doubled in numbers yet again last year and our
retail sales grow from strength to strength.
Hospitality at a Wigan Warriors fixture at the DW Stadium certainly
is the place be as last year, together with our host partner, the DW
Stadium, we won TWO awards in the Stadium Events & Hospitality
Awards that included some of the UK’s biggest and most famous
stadiums. We will be looking to go better.

That can host 25,000 seated spectators on match days and also receives countless visits from the Sky Sports & BBC TV
cameras during the year. For several years the DW Stadium has had the benefit of the same 220 metre LED advertising
seen across Premiership soccer. Our average QI media value was £28,000 for the season. 12 of our 17 home games
