FOR EXPERIENCED EDITORS
TUESDAY, APRIL 14TH - WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15TH
This two day class, running from 10am - 6:15pm each day, is a skills-conversion course,
meant to bring Editor’s accustomed to other NLE’s up to speed on Premiere Pro CC. In
this intermediate level class, students will go step-by-step through the entire editing
process in Premiere Pro CC, from file creation all the way through output. Along the
way they’ll learn the ins-and-outs of file management, essential and intermediate editing techniques, color correction, audio mixing and repairing, titling and effects, and
delivering their video onto tape, the web, and mobile devices. They’ll learn to work
within the Adobe ecosystem as well, getting up to speed on time saving tools such as
Dynamic Link.
This class is designed for experienced editors who wish to learn Adobe Premiere Pro CC
in the most efficient way possible.
This class is not designed to aid student’s in passing the Adobe Certified Exam (ACE).
Adobe Certified Exams are not offered with this class.

It is highly recommended students bring laptops for this course, in order to follow
along with the instructor, and practice some hands-on exercises when time allows.
However, the class is lecture-based, so a laptop is not necessary in order to receive the
full benefit of the class.
Registered students will also receive a copy of “An Editor’s Guide to Adobe Premiere
Pro, second edition” by Rich Harrington, Jeff Greenberg, and Robbie Carman.
Instructor
Abba Shapiro is an Adobe master trainer, certifying university and
training center instructors to teach Adobe Premiere Pro. He is also
a master trainer in several non-Adobe video production tools and
has helped migrate editors to the Adobe platform. Abba is the author of Adobe Premiere Pro Essential Training on Lynda.com.
Abba is an award-winning writer/producer/director with 30 years
of experience in video and film production. He has done work for
a wide range of commercial, corporate and federal clients, including: USA Today, NASCAR, The Associated Press, NASA, Univision and CNN. In addition to
production, Abba teaches video editing on a variety of platforms, DSLR production and
post, scriptwriting, Photoshop for video, and production workshops around the globe
at venues such as: NAB, IBC, InterBee, Photoshop World, and Macworld.
