We hope to gather experimentalists and theoreticians, who are working on or are interested in the field of electrochemistry at the nanometer scale. The IFS features invited plenary lectures and oral contributed presentations (20 min), to be selected among the submitted abstracts. The conference schedule will also provide ample time for the presentation of poster contributions which will be on display throughout the entire symposium. We invite you to participate in the symposium and submit your scientific contribution. Papers are solicited in the fields: - Structure and dynamic of electrochemical interfaces - Electrodeposition - Corrosion, passivity and oxide films - Graphene and other new materials - Electrochemical energy conversion and storage - Bioelectrochemistry and functionalized electrodes - Studies of single molecules and nanoscale objects - Novel techniques in nanoscale electrochemistry - Ionic liquids - Liquid-liquid interfaces - Other topics related to nanoscale electrochemistry Schedule and Highlights The official scientific program of the symposium will start on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 4:00 PM and will end Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 1.30 PM, followed by a farewell party. The opening lecture on Sunday will be given by Prof. C. Amatore (ENS, Paris), member of the National Academy of Sciences. A welcome party will follow the lecture. On Tuesday the Hellmuth Fischer Prize Ceremony including the award lecture will be held. Confirmed Invited Speakers Hellmuth Fischer Medal - C. Amatore, - R. J. Behm, - R. Dryfe, - J. Edel, - F. Social Program Conference Venue The city of Lübeck is located in northern Germany at the Baltic Sea and is known for its rich history and cultural importance. The old city center with 1.800 medieval buildings is a UNESCO world heritage site. Lübeck’s past as a wealthy trading city has been immortalized in the famous noble-price winning novel “Buddenbrooks” by the Lübeckborn author Thomas Mann. The scientific program will be held at the Media Docks, a modern conference center, which is located directly at the river Trave and within 5 min. walking distance of the old town. Photo courtesy by KWL GmbH Transportation Lübeck can be conveniently reached by plane, train, or car. International travellers should fly to Hamburg airport, located about 70 km away. The conference center can be reached from the central train station of Lübeck by a pleasant 20 min. walk along the river bank of the Trave. More information will be given on the conference web site. Sponsors We gratefully acknowledge financial support by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and by Kiel Nano, Surface, and Interface Science th (KiNSIS). The 13 IFS is an ISE sponsored meeting.
