Welcome to Rock Hall, Maryland,
Pearl of the Chesapeake, a quaint
fishing town that sits picturesquely on
the eastern shore of the Chesapeake
Bay. This quiet community traces its
history to 1707 and the beginnings of
the United States – first as an
important tobacco port, then later as a
major fishing and crabbing center.
Today, Rock Hall is a unique sailing
and boating destination, alive with
artists, music, entertainment, and
known for its many celebrations,
festivals, spectacular fireworks, good
food and traditional fare. Visitors from
all over the world come to enjoy Rock
Hall's natural wildlife settings and a
trip back to a simpler time.

There's a lot to see and do in Rock Hall and
it's all about two hours from Philadelphia,
Wilmington, Baltimore, or Washington D.C.
Distances via water:
Annapolis: 16 NM
Baltimore (Inner Harbor): 18 NM
St. Michael's: 20 NM
C&D Canal: 35 NM
Oxford: 40 NM
Directions:
From Philadelphia & Wilmington:
I95 south to 896 south (Exit 3B, Middletown, DE),
DE 896 turns into MD Rte 301, right on MD 291,
straight through the light in Chestertown, then
right onto MD Rte 20 into Rock Hall.
From Baltimore, Washington D.C. &
Annapolis:
Rte 50 east across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge
to MD 301 north. Exit on MD 213 north
(Centreville/Chestertown). In Chestertown, turn
left onto MD 291, then right onto MD Rte 20.
Follow MD 20 into Rock Hall.
