An Indiana “Grade A” School A Message from our Principal
Happy 2015! I hope that everyone had a relaxing break
and that all were able to spend some time with family
members over the holidays. We are excited to be back and
are ready to dive back into learning at PV!
Please plan to remove projects from the gym on Thursday
after the Open House ends at 5:30 p.m. This will allow us
to hold P.E. classes in the gym on Friday. Any project
NOT removed will be placed in the child’s ELA.
It’s hard to believe the end of the first semester is upon
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all
that have entered a project this year. While it certainly is
time-consuming, it is a wonderful learning experience
where students can investigate an area of interest to
them. I would like to suggest that students “dress for the
occasion” on Thursday. This will be the first impression a
judge has of them, and they want to feel confident as they
share their new knowledge.
us! Report cards will be sent home the week of January
19th.
Learningsphere is right around the corner and I am sure
all of the students who are entering projects have been
working on their display boards and presentations. I am
eager to see the array of projects this year. Learningsphere judging will take place during the school day on
Thursday, February 5th. We will hold an Open House
before school on Thursday from 7:00-7:30 a.m. If you
choose to bring your child with you at this time, please
have them stay near your side, as the projects will not
have been judged. There will also be an Open House that
afternoon from 2:30-5:30 p.m. Even if your child did not
enter a project, this is a wonderful time to come to the
Open House to see all of the wonderful learning projects.
Thank you again for sending us students who are consistently ready for the learning opportunities that await
them each day!
Winterfest-January 22nd

Bus Tracking System
Would you like to know where your child’s bus is on the route as it makes it way to your bus stop? You have that capability with the GPS Bus tracking system. You can now use your smart phone to track its progress. Families can register for
the service by creating an account at http://parent.sHverlio lni, synovia, com. Smart phones work just as well as computers for initially setting up an account and for daily tracking of buses. It does not require the installation of a mobile app; it's simply a function of using the phone's browser to go to the company's website. At that website, you will be prompted to enter the following information:  PHM's account number 76205
 Child's last name
 Child's Student ID#
