The 10th Annual Pioneer Valley Jewish Film Festival April 12-26, 2015 Festival Sponsorship & Advertising Opportunities Festival Facts and Figures Regional Coverage 2015 Festival Sponsorship Advertising Opportunities The Festival seeks support from businesses and organizations in two main forms: Festival sponsorship and Film Guide advertising. Please review the following pages to learn how you can support the Festival either as a sponsor or through a Film Guide ad or contact Carlin Trietsch (413) 739-4715 x 329 or by email [email protected] or Fran Eisenberg (413) 739-4715 x 328 or [email protected]. It’s affordable and you will: ⦁ Reach 4,000+ educated, culturally-engaged members of the Jewish community and broader community ⦁ Gain visibility with a desirable consumer demographic ⦁ Get kudos for supporting a beloved, three-county cultural festival Now in its 10th season, the PVJFF is a community-based arts festival presenting outstanding Jewish-related films and related programming with universal themes. Over 4,000 pairs of eyes see our Film Guide and thousands of individuals attend a diverse mix of feature, documentary and short films, many of which are award-winners culled from major festivals worldwide. The Festival offers audiences the chance to be entertained, inspired and to come together and learn about historical and contemporary issues which impact not only Jews, but everyone. Our films present compelling human stories – ones that make you laugh, think, cry, and raise your eyebrows. Post-film discussions, receptions and exhibits add dimension to the entertainment and cultural exchange. Targeted Exposure ⦁ Print exposure – Film Guides are mailed to 4,000 homes and placed at numerous venues ⦁ Internet exposure – we will list you on our website, Facebook and in e-newsletters and alerts in the lead-up to the Festival ⦁ Broad exposure – across a three-county region Hampden, Hampshire and Franklin Counties. Venues have included Amherst Cinema, Amherst College, Bay Path University, Elms College, Greenfield Garden Cinemas, Longmeadow High School, Mount Holyoke College, Pothole Pictures, Rave Motion Pictures in West Springfield, Smith College, Springfield Basketball Hall of Fame, Springfield JCC, Springfield Museum of Fine Arts, Western New England University and Yiddish Book Center. The Festival spans three counties of the Pioneer Valley: Hampden, Hampshire and Franklin. We partner with many organizations to choose and present each year’s films and special events. This serves to leverage our limited budget dollars and attract a much broader audience than we could reach on our own, as each program partner offers additional marketing to their unique audience base. Partners have included Smith College Museum of Art, Springfield Museums and the Massachusetts International Festival of the Arts. This year, our partners include colleges (Amherst, Mount Holyoke, Smith, UMASS, Springfield, and Elms), the UMASS Multi-Cultural Film Festival, Amherst Cinema Art Center, Pothole Pictures in Shelburne Falls, the Yiddish Book Center and many others. Audiences Our audience is thousands of Pioneer Valley residents plus visitors from Connecticut, Vermont, New York and Boston. The festival attracts a diverse audience who come to see a broad range of award-winning feature and documentary films on many topics. Family, love, holocaust, multicultural, interfaith, and current political issues are only some of the themes of these films. We have film programs specifically targeted to children, teens, college students and seniors. Marketing The PVJFF is promoted throughout Western Massachusetts with comprehensive marketing that includes a web presence (web site and social media outlets), direct-mail, radio and print advertising, e-blasts, posters, press releases and feature articles. We receive support from several media sponsors. Our marketing efforts are doubled through additional publicity by our program partners through their websites, email notices, flyers, and social media efforts. For example, Amherst Cinema has a weekly email newsletter going out to thousands of subscribers, while our Five-College partners promote through their web calendars, campus posters and radio mentions.
