DEATH MOST FOUL
Sunanda, the beautiful wife of handsome Shashi Tharoor,
the man who almost became the U.N.Secretary General,
had a fatal flaw like Shashi who too could not stay married
for long and sought pastures anew. Friend Shakespeare
would have slapped their story into a play named “The
Beauty and the Beast”, and made us all cry in the compulsory
Shakespeare class in college!
It has taken a year for the super snail called ‘Law’ to be
woken up in order to dust the I.P.C and Cr.P.C and make the
toddler take the first step that will make a criminal court few
years more to say “not guilty” to enable Shashi to go back
to Obamaland to contest the next election for the UN post
he missed last time when B. Moon rose.
The shouting corps who have invaded the TV news channels
never had it so good. The two characters, a beautiful lady and
her husband, a handsome diplomat, would make even a
disgruntled politician sit up and take more than a look. They
had everything going hunky-dory, in fame, looks and fortune,
but
they wanted more of what life had promised secretly or
through visions or dreams!
They settled in India.
When you live on dreams, you can’t avoid nightmares.
When the cops questioned Shashi he must have shrunk
physically and psychologically to be brought down on terra
firma from the U.N eminence which he missed by a whisker.
What a fall that was my countrymen when Shashi fell down
from the glassy eminence of U.N. Building to the dingy police
room in New Delhi trying to tell the cops that he did not poison
his wife!
The TV anchors have shouted themselves hoarse, most of
them smelling Shashi’s blood. There must be a law prohibiting
media trial in criminal cases. Pending introduction of the Bill
for abolition of trials by media, the Law Minister must moot
an ordinance banning media muddle in criminal matters.

A motorcyclist lost control and was thrown off his bike after
skidding on the slushy surface of Madley Subway (T. Nagar) at

He was badly hurt and almost lost consciousness. Youngsters

White board bus on route 12C after report in
Mambalam Times
Sir, I thank Mambalam Times for publishing my letters
regarding my appeal to MTC for introducing white board
MTC buses (ordinary fare) on Route 12C between
Valsaravakkam and Mylapore. After the publication of the
letters, MTC officials have introduced white board buses on
the route for the benefit of the passengers. I even got this
fact ratified with an MTC official. MTC had only been plying
deluxe buses on the 12C route whose fare is much higher
compared to the white board (ordinary fare) buses. It is a
popular route for a number of students, office goers and
senior citizens like me who regularly visit temples en route.
