WALGA has appointed a Panel of Preferred Suppliers for Radio
Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. The Panel provide a range
of systems, hardware and tags to support WA public library network
requirements.
The Panel has been pre-qualified to deliver systems that can facilitate
interoperability, including compatibility with established Library
Management Systems and the sharing and exchange of stock
between public libraries throughout Western Australia and the
State Library.
The Preferred Supplier Panel conforms to ISO15693 parts 2 and
3/ISO 18000-3 HF 13.56 MHz. All suppliers to the Panel have
committed to the implementation of ISO28560.

As the first Western Australian Library
Service to implement RFID, the City of
Gosnells used the WALGA RFID Contract
to finalise the procurement. The assistance
provided by WALGA made the process
easier to manage, and we appreciated
the help provided by WALGA staff. Having
a centralised process from WALGA
streamlined our transaction allowing for a
smoother implementation process.

communications with Preferred Suppliers.
