Rakuten, Inc. April 2012 – September 2014
UX Designer - Product Analyst
• Created wireframes and defined UI/UX for Rakuten’s Global E-commerce Platform, which powers
multiple Rakuten e-commerce marketplaces around the world.
• Lead UI designer for cross-border selling and shopping features, including a product listing wizard
which enabled Rakuten merchants to easily sell their products on multiple Rakuten marketplaces.
• Defined UI and UX for a variety of mobile applications, including designing and managing the creation
of a mobile application for merchants, and guiding the design of a native iOS shopping application.
• Designed merchant and shopper facing interfaces such as checkout, product pages, navigation, shipping fee calculations, etc. These designs contributed to a ~150% increase in orders during our
second year of business in Rakuten Malaysia and ~500% order increase in Rakuten Indonesia.
• Worked closely with Product Management to refine requirements and elevate user experience.

• Managed a team of graphic designers to deliver assets for Japanese launches of products such as the
iPhone 4 and iPad 2.
