Adelaide Festival Centre is the creative hub of South Australia producing bolder, exciting and extensive program of festivals,
events, performances and activities.
As a result of an endowment from Richard Ryan AO the Festival Centre is very pleased to be able to offer a 12 month
Fellowship, commencing in March 2015, to a pro-active individual, determined to develop a career in the arts. The 2015/2016
Steel Ryan Fellowship will have a particular focus on programming and marketing of Indigenous work, the GreenRoom
program and multicultural audiences.
If you are a culturally sensitive arts, marketing or communications graduate (graduating soon or even have a few years of arts
experience), passionate about arts and culture and its role in connecting and enriching the Indigenous and non-Indigenous
communities, then this opportunity might be for you!
The Fellowship has been designed to provide intensive professional experience working in South Australia’s centre of
creativity and heart of the arts.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to learn and experience many of the aspects that make up the
programming, marketing, audience development and production functions of arts administration. There will also be the
opportunity to establish effective networks with media, artists and production representatives particularly in Indigenous and
multicultural communities. This role will require a willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
around events.
The Fellow will be expected to assist in developing strategies to attract new audiences with a focus on younger Indigenous
and other multicultural audiences, assist with programming of Indigenous work and marketing it to Indigenous and
non-Indigenous audiences.
There will be specific projects to undertake that will contribute to the Festival Centre’s objectives as well as provide the
opportunity to showcase skills and improve chances of future employment.
To be successful you will need:
• relevant tertiary qualification (or close to completing) in Arts, Media, Marketing or Communications
• ability to engage and work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders
• knowledge of, understanding and experience with Indigenous communities and their work
• excellent written and verbal communication skills including basic computer skills
• demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously, as well as a part of a multi-disciplinary team
• a commitment to the arts and to a career in arts administration

to bring to the organisation.

It is anticipated that applicants will have higher level tertiary qualifications in Electronic Engineering or a similar discipline,
along with at least two years technical design experience in a commercial R&D environment, however exceptional recent
graduates are also encouraged to apply. The ideal applicant will also have good mechanical aptitude and strong IT skills. You
must be a strong team player and will be comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
To be eligible for this position you will have higher level tertiary qualifications in Electronics Engineering or a similar discipline,

The J. W. Gottstein Memorial Trust is pleased to open the 2015 Gottstein Forest Industry Scholarships to undergraduate or
postgraduate students undertaking degree or diploma courses in forestry, forest science, wood science or wood engineering
in Australia. The scholarships are worth $5,000 per annum to each successful applicant for up to three years, and may be
used to meet living, relocation and education-related expenses.
The Joseph William Gottstein Memorial Trust Fund was established in 1971 as a national education trust to promote the
development of Australia’s forest products industry. Since then the Trust has made a significant contribution to education in
the forest industries by granting more than 110 fellowships and several skill awards, and by conducting courses in wood
science for those new to the industry.
The Forest Industry Scholarships were initiated in 2010 in recognition of the need for greater support to students in order to
increase the skills base to further advance the industry.
The Trust will determine the award based on criteria such as commitment to the fields of forestry or the forest products
industry through academic and professional achievements and career goals. The criteria may vary, but will remain consistent
with the Gottstein Trust’s key principle to promote the development of the Australian forestry and forest products industry.
Applicants for scholarships should familiarise themselves with and address this principle in their applications. Before
scholarships are awarded, applicants are required to demonstrate satisfactory progress in, or for new students acceptance to,
their respective courses.

The Menzies Institute for Medical Research is a leading institute in the epidemiology of Multiple Sclerosis. The Menzies was
established in 1988 and gained an international reputation for its innovative work into the link between babies' sleeping
position and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). From this work the research expanded and includes epidemiological
research as well as clinical and basic science. In 2010 and 2013, two world-class medical research buildings have been
opened to foster and expand the highly innovative research.
We are seeking dynamic, intelligent, highly motivated PhD students to work on one of two distinct MS projects:
1.Dietary patterns associated with the progression of Multiple Sclerosis
Many people with MS are motivated to try different diets to see whether this might positively affect their MS. While there is
anecdotal evidence that people feel better after removing particular foods from the diet, there is very little research supporting
the benefits of these diets. We have two high quality datasets available to test whether dietary patterns might influence the
progression of MS. Markers of progression include relapses, progression in disability and change in MRI markers. Cancer
Council Food Frequency data is available for both datasets. Factor analysis will be used to examine patterns of variation; an
approach that can identify food groups that might potentially be beneficial or harmful. The work might lead to dietary
interventions that can be tested in people with MS. An aptitude for statistics is essential.
1.Improving the lives of people with MS – the Australian MS Longitudinal Study
The Australian MS Longitudinal Study (AMSLS) has been running for 13 years and has more than 3500 active participants
who are living with MS. Data from the study provides researchers, advocacy groups and government agencies with practical
information on how MS is impacting on people's lives. Available data include employment, symptoms, disability, quality of life,
service requirements and utilisation, psychosocial impacts, medication use, and cost of MS. Existing data can be analysed on,
for example, the impact of MS on employment, but there are also opportunities for novel surveys to be part of the PhD. This
study offers many possibilities. The ultimate aim is to improve the lives of people with MS e.g. by developing
recommendations for health professionals or developing new interventions.
The Candidate
Both Australian and international applicants are welcome to apply. Candidates should have a First Class Honours degree (or
equivalent) in epidemiology, nutrition, psychology or a related discipline. Strong academic performance, the commitment to
conduct high quality research, and published output will be additional assessment criteria.

Duties: The Student Attendance Counsellor: Family Engagement is responsible to the Manager, Support Services for
provision of social work services to school communities by: Applying a combination of professional expertise and experience,
under limited supervision, which contributes to increased attendance and participation at the regional level. Undertaking
complex activities/projects aimed at reducing absenteeism under reducing professional direction. Strengthening school and
family partnerships, promoting parenting and school based practices that positively contribute to the development of strong
attachment and adjustment to school. Contributing to the development of new and existing techniques and methodologies and
accepting professional responsibility for standard of work undertaken. Contributing to the effective delivery and maintenance
of a multidisciplinary support services at the regional level. Providing a discrete professional advisory/consultancy service.
Essential Minimum Qualifications: Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of
the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Special Conditions: There are two positions available. The first position has an end date of 18/04/2014 (with the possibility of
extension) and the second position has an end date of 21/01/15. Intrastate travel as required. Some out of hours work may be
required. The incumbent will be required to achieve performance targets that are negotiated with the Manager, Support
Services. Successful applicants are be subject to a criminal history screening check prior to confirmation of appointment.
Successful applicants will need to show proof of having undertaken, or proof of being registered to undertake the Responding
to Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care full day training course. A current driver’s licence and willingness to drive is
required.

Working under the direction of the Biomedical Engineering Senior Project Officer, you will assist the State in fulfilling its
contracted obligations with Project Co relating to Furniture, Fixings and Equipment (FF&E) for the new Royal Adelaide
Hospital. Your main focus will be assisting in answering queries from Project Co regarding the State FF&E list, interfacing with
clinical staff to finalise their requirements in regards to items on the State FF&E List, and liaising with the new RAH
Infrastructure Team to determine the building services impacts of required items of State FF&E.
You will also assist in tracking, reviewing and managing project correspondence and its impact on other new RAH Project
Team Workstreams. The South Australian Government is investing $1.7 billion over the next decade to build Australia's most
advanced hospital - the new Royal Adelaide Hospital. The new Royal Adelaide Hospital is one of the biggest and most
complex projects for South Australia. The new RAH will be the cornerstone of the reformed SA health system, harnessing the
latest in architectural design in order to create a state-of-the-art health environment for patient and positive working
environments for staff.
Holding a degree level qualification in Biomedical Engineering or a similar field, you will have sound knowledge of commonly
used biomedical devices in a major hospital environment. You will bring the ability to work either individually or as a team,
initially under close professional supervision. Along with your capability in managing a workload of some complexity and
scope in a climate of competing priorities, you will possess sound interpersonal written and verbal communication skills which
equip you to develop effective and professional working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.

Key role and responsibilities for this contract are;
* Guaranteed full time salary each week whether you work or not.
* 5 days per week substitute teaching across the year groups, from early years to upper primary.
* Work in a cluster of London primary schools in one local area.
* Covering lessons already planned by the regular class teacher.
* No requirement for you to plan or assess lessons but to mark the work only.
* Engaging with the students, enabling learning in a fun environment.
* General Behaviour Management, to ensure every child is learning.
* Obtain additional UK recognised qualification-QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) automatically.
* Immediate progression from Substitute teaching to Full time teaching when you are ready.
Relocation to London:
Along with a secured contract Vision Teaching will assist you in your relocation to London. When you first contact us you will
be given a one on one relocation consultant over the phone who is there with you every step of the way until you arrive in UK!
