The Dayton Feis Committee is planning a fabulous Feis for 2015!
In keeping with the pursuit of excellence that we have maintained throughout the 43-year
history of the Dayton Feis, we are implementing some exciting changes that we hope will
improve the overall experience of all who attend.
Feis Highlights:
New Date! Sunday, April 26th (back to back with Buckeye State Feis)
New Venue! Dayton Airport Expo Center
New! Sashes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in PC and OC
New! 1st, 2nd and 3rd place PC and OC awards will be presented on a winners’ podium
New! The Treble Reel will take place immediately prior to lunch
New! Stage Assignments will be done by age level
New! We will be using QuickFeis
New! Results will be available to take home with you
New! Day-of-Feis registration will be available
New! Plenty of FREE parking
New! Feis will be located on a single floor with plenty of room for camping
Readily visible and helpful volunteer staff will be available to provide assistance to feis
attendees
Cap will remain at 800 competitors
Competitions will be danced 2 at a time, except Traditional Sets. Exception: While every effort
will be made to dance competitions 2 at a time, time constraints may make it necessary to
dance some competitions 3 at a time.
Feis location is near the intersection of I-75 and I-70, with easy access to the Dayton
International Airport
The drive from the Buckeye State Feis is an easy 75 minutes west on I-70
