Fort Hays State University Honor Roll George and Arliss Koogle George and Arliss Koogle, Hays, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Jan. 24 at home watching KU basketball. George served in the Marines from 1942 to 1946. The couple lived in Great Bend until January 1989, then they moved to Hays. Their son and daughter were both born on the same day in February eight years apart. Their daughter is deceased. George and Arliss Koogle were married Jan. 24, 1945, in Great Bend.
