• Feature Description:
NiagaraAX 3.8 provides support for IEEE 802.1x which is an IEEE
Standards for port-based Network Access Control that provides an
authentication mechanism to devices wishing to attach to a LAN or
WLAN

FIPS 140-2 Level 1 Validated Encryption

Increased customer comfort in the security of encrypted of data
• Feature Description:
NiagaraAX 3.8 supports the option to run a FIPS 140-2 Level 1
compliant mode that uses a 3rd party FIPS 140-2 Validated module
supplied from Entrust

– The FIPS validated mode for NiagaraAX is sold as a Software
Option and is installed using the Distribution File Installer
NiagaraAX Update: Guest Account
• The Guest Account has been disabled in NiagaraAX version 3.8
• An enabled Guest Account provides a decreased level of security for
a Niagara system and Tridium strongly discourages customers from
enabling it.
• If a system requires the Guest Account, it can be activated by
ordering part number SP-GUEST-AX
• This applies to all hosts excluding Demo Stations

Provide greater flexibility to manipulate Niagara data sets for
enhanced reporting and visualization
• Feature
– The Filter Node: Provides a user interface to allow the user to
perform a BQL query against a result set of an incoming node,
then pushes that result set out to the next connected node.

Provide greater flexibility to manipulate Niagara data sets for
enhanced reporting and visualization
• Feature
– The Time Shift Node: Shifts the timestamp value of the
incoming record sets by the amount determined by the shift. This
way, you can have records from today compared directly on the
X axis of a history graph with the records from yesterday by
shifting today’s records by 24 hours in the past.

Enhanced Mobile Experience
• Create rich Mobile Pages that resemble the graphical images of a
desktop Px Page by inserting a Canvas Pane into a Basic Mobile
Pane and absolutely positioning widgets.
• Copy existing Px pages to a Mobile View by selecting the Canvas
Pane in the Widget Tree of the Px Graphic and Pasting it on a
Basic Mobile Pane
– All widgets supported by Mobile will be copied into the Mobile
Canvas Pane

Enhanced Mobile Experience
• The Px Editor now includes three new tool bar icons that
provide for zooming in and out. The Zoom status is now
located at the bottom right of Workbench. Users can Zoom In
x9.8 and Zoom Out x0.2.
