2015 Welsh Pony & Cob Society AGM

The President, Mrs Mary Redvers, has arranged for this
year’s Dinner Dance to take place at Hatherley Manor
Hotel, Gloucester, GL2 9QA 7pm for 7.30pm. Tickets are
£35.00 each and cheques should be sent to the office
with your contact details, and your choice of main
course, or if paying by card please ring Jayne Willis on
01570 471 754. Tickets will be posted a couple of weeks
before the event.
The three options of main course are: 1. Baked Salmon
Supreme, 2. Honey-mustard Baked Gloucester Old Spot
Loin of Pork, or 3. Red Onion and Courgette Flan. When
booking your tickets, please let the office know whether
you require Main Course 1, 2 or 3.
All accommodation at Hatherley Manor is already
booked, but the Thistle Hotel Cheltenham is just down
the lane and has availability. The Society has negotiated
a special rate of £69 B&B per night for single or £80 B&B
per night for double occupancy. Contact the Thistle

During the evening there will be an auction and raffle,
with many excellent prizes including a bottle of aged
Malt Whisky kindly donated by Ifor Lloyd. The proceeds
of both the auction and raffle will be going to The Hill
Pony Improvement Societies of Wales. If any bidders,
who can’t attend the dinner, wish to leave commission
bids then they should confirm the lot number, their
maximum bid and address details to: andrew.elliott@
brightwells.com. As in any auction, lots will be secured
as cheaply as other bids allow.
President’s Auction
Lot 1. Bronze resin statue of a Welsh
Mountain stallion by Sara Lee
Debnam. Kindly given by Sarum Stud
and Katie Parry Show Team.
Lot 3. A stallion nomination to Eyarth
Rio (Sec.B) (100% fertile, but not at
public stud) or Telynau Just William
(WPBR) Royal Welsh Champion and
sire of RW and Winter Fair winners or
any stallion at stud at TELYNAU 2015.

Lot 4. A Visit to Carl Hester’s yard for
two people at a date convenient to
both. 10am–1 pm – tour of the yard
plus opportunity to watch horses
work from Novice to Grand Prix

depicting Welsh Mountain pony
mares and foals running on an open
hill with a stallion. Kindly given by

Lot 7. Visit for up to six people to
Tweenhills Stud and lunch with John
and Mary Redvers at Corsend Farm.

HOYS on Mountain and Moorland
