This morning many of you, along with hundreds of
others, reflected on Dr. King’s concern for the needy
through service projects meant to uplift, to assist, and
to improve the city itself. This work—which ranges
from clothing collections and knitting projects, to the
distribution of children’s books and food—concludes
with participants joining this musical celebration of
compassion and love for all people. When we depart,
let our true service begin.
