ABOUT THE INSTITUTION
Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering (DCE), an
off-shoot of the prestigious Dhanalakshmi Educational
Trust, was set up near Tambaram, Chennai in the year
2001-02. DCE is the brainchild of the eminent, dedicated
academician and former Professor of Anna University
Dr Ramamurthi V P. DCE has grown into a ‘Distinguished
Centre for Engineering and Technological Studies’
providing a serene environment and congenial atmosphere
for learning. The college is approved by the All India
Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and affiliated
to
Anna
University,
Chennai.
DCE
is
an
ISO 9001: 2008 certified institution. The National Board of
Accreditation (NBA) has accredited four programmes of
the college. Presently, the college offers 6 UG, and 4 PG
programmes. The institute provides quality engineering
education to produce technologically sound, efficient,
effective and creative engineers.
Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering has been
recognized as a research centre by the Anna University
Chennai to carry out Full time/Part Time research leading
to Ph.D. Degree. The research works are carried out in
collaboration with Anna University Chennai, ISRO, DSIR
and other industries. Recently the ISRO has sponsored the
project titled "Evolutionary Neuro-Fuzzy based Rainfall
Prediction System" under RESPOND scheme.

The goal of this programme is to ensure the growth of skill
and knowledge among professionals.
OBJECTIVE
ABOUT THE CENTER FOR RESEARCH
Center for Research at DCE aims to develop
innovative solutions to the world’s most daunting
challenges. For addressing the needs of tomorrow, the
center works on various cutting-edge technologies like
Wireless
Networks,
Digital
Image
Processing,
Nanotechnology, Internet Of Things, Bigdata, Cloud
Computing, Mobile App Development, Industrial
Automation using Yaskawa Motoman Robot, PLCs, VFD,
HMI and SCADA. In all the above mentioned technologies
various workshops and courses are conducted for students
and staff. The center collaborates with Freescale
Semiconductors, ARM and Texas Instruments for
exploring areas like DSP, Embedded systems, etc.
The objective of this training programme is to
introduce and expose the participants to image processing
tools and their applications in MATLAB. The training
shall be conducted in full time mode, involving lectures,
practical sessions, demos and hands-on practice on the
topics mentioned.
