Tournament Details
Our sixth annual youth football tournament will take place on 14th June 2014. As well as great games of football there
are also many off pitch activities during the day for all of the family to enjoy. Hot and cold drinks and snacks, games,
side stalls, a professional photographer and more are available during the event.
We will be running 6 age groups: Under 7, 8 & 11 in the morning and Under 9, 10, & 12 in the afternoon. The morning
tournaments will start at 9.30am and the afternoon tournaments at 3pm. The tournament will be held at the Ormskirk
School, Wigan Road, L39 2AT. Directions are available on request.
NOTE – Under 7’s will be playing 5-a-side, Under 8’s, 9’s & 10’s will be playing 7-a-side, and Under 11’s & 12’s will be
playing 9-a-side.
Please note the age groups used in our tournament will be the age groups for the 2014/2015, i.e. if your team is
currently competing in the Under 9 age group, they will enter the Under 9 competition in this tournament. The
secretary of each club must sign the squad sheet as verification of proof of players’ ages. There will be a maximum of
12 teams in each age group. Teams will be drawn from a hat and split into two leagues per age group. The length of
games will be determined based on the final number of teams entered in each age group. The top 2 teams in each
league will play semi-finals with the winning teams playing in the final. The tournament will be played in accordance
with the FA guidelines for mini soccer, a copy of which can be sent if required.
A maximum of 3 teams per club per age group will be allowed to enter and each team will be limited to 10 players, 14
players for the Under 11’s & 12’s. Players may only play for one team throughout the competition. The winners in age
groups Under 9, 10, 11 & 12 will receive a trophy they can keep and there will be winners and runners–up medals. For
the U7 and U8 competitions there will be a team of the day awarded to each of the age groups.
If you wish to enter a team please complete the entry form (page 2) and registration form (page 3) and return to Stuart
Singleton via e-mail or post to the address below. E-mail applications received without the entry fee will be held for a
maximum of 14 days. On receipt of your entry form, registration form and entry fee, Stuart will be in touch to confirm
your place. Your place will only be confirmed on receipt of entry fee. There will be a maximum of 10 teams in
each age group.
All of the matches are officiated by experienced FA Qualified Referees and the event is supported by a dedicated
team of club members and volunteers. Each team is responsible for all its players, managers and spectators. Any
disputes will be settled by the Tournament Coordinator.
There will be a £1 parking fee on the day, payable at the entrance. This fee gets you a tournament programme and a
number entered into our raffle.

Changes can be submitted to the Tournament Coordinator by e-mail and finally on the Day of the Tournament at
Registration. Only those players registered prior to the start of the tournament will be permitted to play. It is the Team
Manager’s responsibility to ensure that all Birth Certificates, ID Cards or League Registration Forms are available for
inspection in the event of any disputes.
The FA rules on small-sided football will be applied to all games
