The UAE Taekwondo and Karate Federation is taking strides towards developing the
karate sport on the national level as well as acquiring achievements in the Gulf and the
Arab region and internationally.
We consider “Al-Ahli Dubai Open” the most important sports event conducted during the
year for Al-Ahli Club which reflects its ability - together with other clubs - to fulfill the
vision and mission of our leader His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan
President of United Arab Emirates and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of
Dubai.
And so, it is obligatory to show the improvement of Al-Ahli Club from year to year
through the organization of “Al-Ahli Dubai Open” with regards to having reached
astounding levels of professionalism in organizational, technical and referral standards.

1. RULES
The 4th INTERNATIONAL KARATE AL-AHLI DUBAI OPEN 2015 will be conducted in accordance
with the New WKF Rules (Version 2015) for Kata & Kumite.
In case of a disagreement in the interpretation of rules, the English text of the rules shall prevail.
Any unforeseen incident not covered by the Rules shall be dealt with accordingly in the following
manner.

4. INSURANCE
All participants and members of delegations must affect their own medical insurance and personal
trip insurance. Al Ahli Club and the UAE Taekwondo & Karate Federation are not liable for this
purpose.

For registration you need a team / club account.
For users having a team / club account, please re-use your account. In this case you can also reuse
all competitors, coaches, referees and officials data you already entered.
If you have forgotten or lost your account data, please contact our team. We will reset the
password and send you Username and new Password.
For teams that have no account yet, please register online and create a new account team /
club account.
For registration of competitors, coaches, referees and officials please do the following steps:
1. Log in with your account
2. Check your team data. Please check if the data is correct and up to date
3. Enter or change the data of your competitors, coaches, referees and officials. Upload a picture
for all participants you want to register.
4. In the event calendar go to the 4th INTERNATIONAL KARATE OPEN DUBAI 2015, Click on the
“Registration” button of the event.
5. On the bottom of the entries site you will see the functions to make new entries.
6. Register your competitors / teams in categories, coaches, referees and officials.

Each federation/Club can register only 3 players per category in Kata & Kumite.
Each federation/Club can register only 2 teams per category in Kata & Kumite.
The Organizing Committee accepts only the registration made online at Sportdata.
No registration is acceptable after the mentioned closing date.
For any change after the closing date there is a penalty of 40 US $ per each change.
After the closing date we don’t accept any new registration.
In our Event the mix team is not allowed.
Each participant can compete only in his/her real weight and category.
Each contestant can represent only one Federation or Club in this event.
The online Registration is open only for the participants from outside the U.A.E.
Kumite team consists of three players and two reserves in all the categories.
The repechage system will be applies only in senior categories.
Children under 14 years may perform any kata that they choose; they can repeat the kata
after 2 kata deferent.
All protective equipment must be WKF homologated for Cadet – Juniors – Seniors.
The head Protection is obligatory for all kumite categories under 14 years old ( Bleu &
Read color )
The Organizing Committee limits the coaches number to the following:
Up to 5 players One Coach.
Up to 10 Players Tow Coaches.
Up to 15 Players Three Coaches.
More than 15 Players Four Coaches.
6. DURATION OF BOUT
For seniors – juniors – Cadets (WKF rules)
For 10/11/12/13 years old will be 1:30 min.
7. EXPENSES / PARTICIPANTS FEES:
50 U.S $ per contestant/entry.
100 U.S $ per team (Kata/Kumite) per/entry.
The Organizing Committee will offer cash fees only for the official referees and judges who are
registered online at sportdata and attended the referee briefing on 28th Jan following from:

1. Burj Al Arab
The Burj Al Arab (Tower of the Arabs) is the world's only 7 star hotel and
designed to resemble a billowing sail, the Burj Al Arab soars to a height of

The Dubai Fountains

At the base of the world's tallest tower is one of the world's most amazing
fountains! In fact it is the world's largest dancing fountain!
Set on the 30-acre Burj Khalifa Lake, the fountain shoots water jets as high as
500 ft, equivalent to that of a 50-storey building. The fountain is 900 ft long and
has five circles of varying sizes and two central arcs. It is designed by Californiabased WET, the creators of the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas.
The Dubai Fountain performs daily, with the performance repertoire including
Sama Dubai; Baba Yetu, an award-winning song in Swahili; the Arab world’s
top-selling dance number Shik Shak Shok; and the signature piece of worldrenowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, Con te partiro (Time to Say Goodbye).
Over 6,600 WET Superlights and 25 colour projectors create a visual spectrum of over 1,000

5. Global Village
For the past 15 years, Global Village has been providing cultural

7. Dubai Creek
The natural seawater inlet that cuts through the centre of the city is the

well as modern landmarks. A stroll around the wharf offers a
picturesque glimpse of Dubai's trading heritage, where dhows bound
for distant places dock to unload their goods.

8. Ski Dubai
Ski Dubai is the first indoor ski resort in the Middle East and offers an
amazing snow setting to enjoy skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing,
or just playing in the snow. Young or old, there is something for
everyone, from the beginner to the snow sport enthusiast. Ski Dubai is a
unique mountain-themed attraction that offers you the opportunity to
enjoy real snow in Dubai all year round.
You don't have to worry about ski clothing or equipment either. Ski
Dubai has thought of it all and offers guests the use of winter clothing, ski and snowboard
equipment. Your skis will carry you down the slope and our quad-chairlift and tow lift will
promptly carry you back to the top for another run.
9. Dubai Marina
One of Dubai's newer tourist attractions is Dubai marina. The marina is
set in the backdrop of the amazing buildings of JBR and has great views,
walkways and boat rides available. It is amazing either during the day or
in the evenings. Dubai Marina is the largest man-made marina in the
world and is home to super yachts and also Dubai Marina Mall.
Set in the heart of ‘new Dubai’, Dubai Marina Yacht Club (DMYC) has
rapidly gained a reputation as one of the renowned private yacht clubs
of the region, with a purpose built clubhouse forming the centre-piece of four distinctive marinas.
Arrayed along the length of a remarkable 3.5km canal, the marinas provide sheltered berthing for
over five hundred yachts, in a setting that is simply unrivalled.
10. Wild Wadi
Located in front of the Burj Al Arab, Wild Wadi offers 30 rides and
attractions for all the family.
Wild Wadi is themed around the tale of Juha, a known character from
the Arabian folklore.

Dubai Shopping Festival
Thursday 1st January - Sunday, 1st February 2014
Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) takes place every winter with its mammoth array of discounts,
competitions, prizes, fireworks and entertainment. DSF offers amazing shopping discounts,
attracting holiday makers from around the globe keen on grabbing a bargain. The festival began in
1996 as an initiative of the Dubai government to promote trade, and it gets bigger and better
every year. DSF is not only a retail festival, but also a family festival with a large focus on mallbased entertainment and early evening shows.
Its continued success is proven by the large number of tourists from not only the GCC but also the
rest of the world.
Traditionally, the festival runs from mid-January to the end of February and it kicks off with a
huge opening night that features light shows and fireworks across the Dubai Creek, which are then
continued throughout the entire festival.
Other events associated with DSF range from in-mall fashion shows, musicians, street performers,
jugglers and other entertainers.
Shoppers not only have the opportunity to grab the latest designer threads or high street musthaves at rock bottom prizes, but they also have a chance to win money, cars and holidays through
amazing raffles and competitions.

Cancellation Policy:
At least 30 days prior to arrival: free of charge
20 days prior to arrival: 50% of the total booking price
15 days prior to arrival: 100% of the total booking price
Visa: (complimentary)
For the countries that require visa, and want to apply they should send the colored passport copy
through e-mail to ([email protected]) before 04 Jan the Deadline Date of Accepting the
Passport copy to apply for visa.
Visa issues need minimum 7 working days, maximum 14 days.
Booking Procedures:
1. Fill in the Accommodation and Transfer Application Form, and email it to the Organizing
Committee of 4th International Karate Open Al-ahli Dubai-2015
2. After receiving the application, and verifying your booking reservation, a performance
invoice will be emailed to the applicant.
3. Upon receiving the performance invoice, the applicant shall pay 50% of the total amount
within 7 days from the date of invoice, failure in this procedure will cause the booking to be
considered null and void
4. The remaining balance (50% of payment) shall be paid in full before January 05th , 2015.
5. For any booking applications received after January 05th , 2015, upon receiving the
performance invoice, the applicant shall pay the full amount within 7 days from the date of
the invoice; failure in this procedure will cause the booking to be considered null and void.
