Through a partnership with the Erie School District, Central Career and Technical School carpentry students Paul Mancusso and Andrew Welton brought their skills to the Children’s Museum. They worked to complete drywall, trim and painting in two buildings that are part of the Museum’s new Old Town exhibit. Not only did the students transfer skills learned in the classroom to a real work “expERIEnce” but they also gained an opportunity to work as a team, do some real-world problem solving and display on-the-job professionalism. Butterfly Project As part of a Mother’s Day celebration, our Museum visitors had the chance to watch the life cycle of butterflies; culminating in a hands-on butterfly feeding expERIEnce and their eventual release. This project was sponsored by MacDonald Illig Attorneys through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program of Pennsylvania. Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community Breakfast with the Easter Bunny The expERIEnce Children’s Museum participated in the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community for the first time this year. We would like to thank all of the participants who came out and walked with us and all those who donated. All money raised will fund future special expERIEnces for you and your family.
