The Doctor’s Office in Old Town is now open for
patients! Museum visitors step back in time when
they visit Old Town. In the Doctor’s Office, they
role play and interact with a world that teaches
about the human body.
Development of the Old Town area and
completion of the Doctor’s Office were made
possible through the leadership and generosity
of Dr. and Mrs. Richard Dreyfus. More exhibits
are in the works for Old Town.

Thanks for your help!
Through a partnership with the Erie School District,
Central Career and Technical School carpentry students
Paul Mancusso and Andrew Welton brought their skills
to the Children’s Museum. They worked to complete
drywall, trim and painting in two buildings that are
part of the Museum’s new Old Town exhibit.
Not only did the students transfer skills learned in the
classroom to a real work “expERIEnce” but they also gained
an opportunity to work as a team, do some real-world
problem solving and display on-the-job professionalism.

unique artists who use actions and movements
to create interesting works of art. We will take a look at
Jackson Pollack’s action paintings and use varyig styles
of music to guide our paint brush. We will also use a
variety of techniques such as mixed media collage,
watercolors and action painting.

Train Day fun!
Check out the fun that was had at our 2nd Annual TRAIN
DAY. The event was made possible through a contribution

Butterfly Project
As part of a Mother’s Day
celebration, our Museum visitors
had the chance to watch the life cycle
of butterflies; culminating in a hands-on butterfly
feeding expERIEnce and their eventual release.
This project was sponsored by MacDonald Illig

Tax Credit program of Pennsylvania.

the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community for the
first time this year. We would like to thank all of the
