Current lifecycle status The SAMI MEGASTAR W is in the Limited phase since 01.01.2014 according to the ABB life-cycle model outlined above. The upgrade of the drive’s control unit to AMC control platform returned the drive installation back to the Classic phase (refer to Control Upgrade service product description). Product is no longer available for sale. Manufacturing has stopped. Limited range of life-cycle services available, including migration services. It is planned to keep SAMI MEGASTAR W with upgraded control unit in the Classic phase at least until the end of 2025, after which it will be transferred to Limited phase. The ABB life-cycle management model is designed to manage an orderly transition to new replacement products or to choose from various lifetime extending services. At the same time the model ensures access to continuing support for our customers. Recommended actions No further actions are required.
