What scheme am I in? - Civil Service Pensions

What scheme am I in?
A new pension scheme will be introduced on 1 April 2015. You will need to know which section of the
Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme (PCSPS) you are currently a member of so that you can find out
more about how the changes may affect you.
The date that you joined your current scheme is a good
indication of which section you are most likely to be in.

affect you.
Please note that this is a general guide and is not definitive. This guide might not be appropriate for you
if you have been compulsorily moved into the PCSPS from another public service pension scheme, as
you could have a different Normal Pension Age (NPA - this is the earliest age that you can usually take
your pension benefits without reduction). If you think this may apply to you, please check with your
employer or your Pension Service Centre (PSC).
If you are still unsure which scheme you are in, contact your PSC for confirmation. You can find their
contact details here www.civilservicepensionscheme.org.uk/contact-us/mycsp-pension-service-centres/ by selecting the name of your employer.
