Capitol Corridor travels along a 170-mile corridor, so
there are many locations to stop and explore!
Whether you choose to visit the California State
Railroad Museum in Sacramento, Pier 39 in San
Francisco, or the Children’s Discovery Museum in
San Jose, Train Treks will make your trip convenient
and fun. Other destinations to consider include:

dates. Train Treks offer is subject to space
availability. Restrictions apply. Fares, routes and
schedules are subject to change without notice.

Train Treks is only available on Capitol Corridor trains
and is not valid on any other Amtrak service. Train
Treks rates cannot be combined with any other
promotional discount or offer. Offer may be canceled
at any time without notice. This offer is available
only through Capitol Corridor’s Group Reservation
system using the procedures outlined in this
brochure.
Limited space is available for Train Treks groups, and
some trains may not be able to accommodate
groups. Please visit the Capitol Corridor website for
specific trains that do not allow group travel.

Please note: Additional transit may be needed to travel to/from some
destinations. Limited space is available for group travel and some trains
may not be able to accommodate groups. Space is booked on a firstcome, first-serve basis so please book early. Every effort will be made to
develop an itinerary that works for your group. Capitol Corridor reserves
the right to deny group travel on certain trains at our discretion.

The Train Treks program is divided into three zones.
Travel is priced per person (adult chaperone and youth)
and is determined by the number of zones through which
your group travels. Please refer to the insert for exact
fare prices.
1. Complete a Group Reservation Request Form
Visit the Capitol Corridor website at
www.capitolcorridor.org. You may submit the
form online or fax to the Capitol Corridor Group
Desk at 510.464.6901.

What is Train Treks for Kids?
Capitol Corridor’s Train Treks program is
designed for school kids and youth
groups, and allows teachers to arrange
field trips to the best locations in
Northern California! Groups of 20 or
more can travel the Capitol Corridor route
for a significantly discounted fare and
enjoy the convenience of safe, fun travel
in a comfortable environment.
When planning your trip, please note that one adult chaperone is required
for every six children.

If you submit the form online, there is no need to
also fax the form.
The Capitol Corridor Group Desk will process your
application request and either fax or email you a
reservation number and confirmation letter in
approximately five business days.
2. Create a Passenger Name List
Along with your confirmation, you will also receive
a Passenger Name List, asking you to list the first
and last names of all passengers traveling in your
group.
The Passenger Name List is due ten days prior
to your date of travel. You may either fax or email
back to us at 510.464.6901 or
[email protected].
*Oakland Jack London and Oakland Coliseum locations share the same rate
Note: Travel between Emeryville and San Francisco stops, and between
Martinez and Six Flags Marine World must include a portion of rail service to or
from another station on the Capitol Corridor. California law forbids Amtrak from
providing service by motorcoach alone throughout the service.
How to Plan Your Trip
Seating is first-come, first serve so we recommend
submitting your request as early as possible. When
making your group travel plans, please send in your
reservation request at least 14 days in advance of your
planned travel date.
3. Purchase Your Tickets
Bring your confirmation letter and a copy of your
Passenger Name List to any staffed Amtrak
station, at least seven days prior to your date of
travel to purchase your tickets.
Please pay with cash, credit card or school/
business check made out to “Amtrak.”
Personal checks are not accepted.
Adjustments to the reservation cannot be made
after you receive your confirmation. You will be
required to pay for the seats you have reserved.
No refunds are given after tickets are purchased.
Confirmed reservations are required
for Train Treks travel.
