In my practice I see a wide range of problems and treat individuals (all ages), couples and families. I have post-doctoral training in family therapy, behavior therapy (child and adult), marital therapy, and divorce therapy. Areas of interest include family therapy, couples and marital therapy, cognitive-behavioral treatment of anxiety, phobia, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, and pain management. I am especially interested in working with children and families of divorce and with children and families where sexual abuse has occurred. I have completed post-doctoral training with the New Jersey Child Sexual Abuse Training Institute's Child Sexual Abuse Consultation Program. This is a yearlong program of supervision by experts in evaluating and treating child sexual abuse, and adults who were abused as children. Forensic Practice: Founder and senior partner of the firm of Dr. Edwin A. Rosenberg & Associates. I have served as a court-appointed and jointly retained expert in over one hundred and fifty cases and served as a retained expert in over one hundred and fifty cases. In that capacity, I have performed evaluations and offered an expert opinion in child custody evaluations, and cases dealing with parenting time disputes, child removal disputes, visitation disputes, parental alienation, and grandparent visitation disputes. I have been appointed by the court to be a family therapist, to oversee "therapeutic visitation" between a child and a parent, and as a therapeutic mediator to mediate custody and visitation disputes. I have been approved by the Administrative Office of the Court to be a Parent Coordinator and I have been appointed to be a Parent Coordinator in cases where there is a breakdown of parental communication and cooperation that jeopardizes the children’s safety and welfare. I have been retained as an expert in civil cases involving Marital Tort, personal injury, sexual harassment, and competency. I have also conducted expert evaluations in criminal cases. I have been appointed by the Court and accepted as an expert and testified in Bergen, Essex, Union, Morris, Somerset, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Mercer, Monmouth, Sussex and Passaic counties. Edwin A. I have been retained privately as a mediator and have been appointed as a therapeutic mediator by the courts to mediate custody and visitation disputes.
