Welcome...
As we welcome 2015 we look forward to another exciting year of
festivals and events. The programme of events caters for all ages
with a range of events that includes sports, theatre, festivals, family
entertainment, dance, culture and literature.
Dublin City Council is proud to be associated with the variety of
events that are held in Dublin on an annual basis and will continue
to work with all our partners to ensure that the programme contains
variety and diversity and that there are opportunities for everyone
to enjoy the entertainment, fun, and celebrations of the City in a
family-friendly, inclusive and safe environment.
“Ba mhaith liom buíochas
a ghabháil leo siúd ar fad a
ghlacann páirt agus a
fhreastalaíonn ar na
himeachtaí uile.”
I would like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere thanks
to the event organisers, city business organisations, statutory
agencies, community groups and of course to the residents of
Dublin and visitors alike who attend and participate in these events
year after year to bring excitement and vibrancy to Dublin.
In the Mansion House we will celebrate 300 years since the City
Council purchased the house to use as the official residence of the
Lord Mayor of Dublin. A series of events will held throughout 2015
to mark this significant milestone and details will be available on
www.lordmayordublin.ie in the spring.
