Beauty and hair styling seminar held
for the airport PAPs
Belapur: Taking steps to provide
vocational training to the gen-next
of the airport project affected
persons (PAPs), a specialized
seminar was held on February 2,
2015 at the D B Patil Vocational
Training Institute at Khandeshwar
by the renowned Jawed Habib
Academy of Hair Styling. The
seminar was attended by the PAPs
of the barber community and PAP
girls of the Beauty and Wellness
identified under Bara Balutedar.
Mr Sriram, Head Marketing and
Strategic Alliances, Mr Dilshad
and Ms Niloufer Stylist and
Trainer and Mr Praveen Verma
franchisee of Jawed Habib
conducted the Seminar.
Envisaged to improve the
skills of the PAPs and help them to
upgrade and set up their
enterprise, a live demonstration
was conducted to guide and
provide them simple tips on hair
styling. Altogether 19 PAPs of the
barber community who runs a
shop and 35 other PAPs including
the PAPs girls from Beauty and
Wellness attended the seminar.
The seminar generated a
great deal of excitement due
to the internationally
acclaimed Jawed Habib
brand and its popularity.
To enhance the skills,
live hairs styling
demonstration was
conducted on volunteers and
before and after photographs
were taken to show the
different types of hair styles
on different hair textures. Mr
Sriram later spoke about the
availability of various
courses, course content,
duration, and fees structure
for various courses. All the
students enrolling for the
courses will get an
international certification
from the academy which
shall add weight-age to their
career.
The PAPs who attended the
seminar seemed contended by
giving positive responses. They
were happy as they learnt new
generation hair styles with
advance techniques. This shall
help them to become not only a
good hair stylist but a good
businessman. The seminar has
indeed helped them in boosting
their self confidence.

Peerbhoy College of Education,
Vashi conducted the Convocation
ceremony for student-teachers of
the Academic Year 2013-14 on 2nd
February, 2015.
50 students received their
degree in person. The certificates
were distributed by Ahmed Sayed
Uraizee, Retd. Judge, City and Civil
and Sessions Court. Mr. Burhan
Harris, Executive Chairman, Navi
Mumbai Board, Anjuman-i- Islam,
presided over the function as the
Guest of Honour.
The ceremony was organized by
Dr. Sujana Unni and Dr. Supriya
Deka, members of the faculty.
