Glowway is a joint Finnish-Danish venture specialized in innovative safety enhancing solutions.
We develop photoluminescent or “glow in the dark” exit path / way guidance systems for all spaces from where people need to be able to exit quickly and
efficiently in emergency situations and/or electrical outages. We also take into consideration the needs of the visually impaired.
All of our products are small artworks by themselves so they are perfectly usable also for decorative purposes.
We design our products in close co-operation with safety authorities and research institutions. Our company’s operation is based on an innovation patented
internationally and our glass products fulfil the ISO, DIN and ASTM standards for photoluminescent exit path markings.
Glowway uses green and yellow photoluminescent pigments in its products since these colors shine brightest and can be accepted for safety purposes.

ACCESSIBILITY PRODUCTS
The Accessibility Products are used in spaces which require consideration for visually impaired.
The products are designed to have a raised pattern which can be felt and followed with foot or white cane.
The glass products are designed to be installed in a floor-groove.
The polycarbonate products are easily retrofitted in various surfaces by glue or screws depending on the product. The rods and lists are
placed sequentially to form lines that lead to exits. The buttons and studs can be used e.g. to warn about stairs.
The Polycarbonate List is available in several colors (RAL-colors) Other colors than green are non-photoluminescent and they do not glow in
the dark but can be used for guiding the visually impaired individuals to exits and is easily adapted in many different architectural purposes
and color schemes.
The Green Guiding Rod is now available also in tempered glass!

The photoluminescent glass button has an
opaque surface and a 5mm raised pattern. For
the visually impaired.
This photoluminescent polycarbonate list is
available from 300mm to 2500mm long pieces. The list has two grooves on the surface for
anti-slipperiness. The list is easily postinstalled by gluing it on a surface and/or by
screws. The product has a 5mm raised pattern

available in other colors (nonphotoluminescent RAL-colors).

GUIDING TILES
Patented Glowway Guiding Tiles direct people to safety during emergency situations
by glowing brightly in green color.
The rectangular shaped glass tiles can be placed e.g. sequentially to form solid lines
that lead people to exits.
The products are made of high-quality glass or tempered glass.
Photoluminescent glass tiles are low-maintenance, eco-friendly and designed to sit
well in buildings' architectural design and feel.
Glowway offers many different tile sizes and designs to choose from and you can also
ask for custom-made designs.
The tempered Guiding Tiles come in beautiful opaque surface which fulfils the EN ISO
10545:2012 standard for slip resistance.

TEMPERED GLASS GUIDING TILES
Glowway has developed photoluminescent glass products that are physically and thermally stronger than regular glass. These tempered or “hardened”
glass products are extremely robust and are available with a beautiful
opaque/frosted surface which reflects light beautifully. The tempered glass
tiles are available in many sizes. The body color and the afterglow color of
the guiding tiles is green. The products are made from tempered optiwhite
glass. The rectangular shaped tiles can be used as stair nosings.

ARROW GUIDING TILES
The arrow glass Guiding Tiles are placed so that each arrow points the direction to the next arrow or the exit. The double-arrow tiles can be placed in intersections where they point the way to two directions. The arrow tiles are made from non-tempered float glass and are available in two sizes. The round tiles
are easy to install and retrofit in a drilled hole. If requested, the tiles can also be custom-made with horizontal screen print lines and/or with anti-slip surface.

RECTANGULAR GUIDING TILES
The rectangular shaped glass tiles can be placed sequentially to form solid lines.
Depending of the usage, the tiles can have smooth surface or rough anti-slip
patterns. The rectangular glass tiles can be installed e.g. in a groove at floor level
and they can be also used as stair nosings or baseboards. When used as stair nosings, the tiles can be mounted in the step in the step manufacturing phase or retrofitted at the end of the step.
STAIR NOSINGS & FLOORBOARDS
Using photoluminescent tiles as stair nosings can greatly help navigating in fire or
electrical outages as the steps can be seen clearly in the dark. Many of Glowway tiles
can be used as stair nosings; the rectangular shaped tiles can be easily installed at
the end of the step, the long glass strip can be installed in concrete steps in manufacturing phase of the step and the polycarbonate tapes can be easily retrofitted to
raise the safety level of the crucial staircases or fire exits.

WARNING TILES
Glowway photoluminescent Warning Tiles are used to warn about
dangerous places. Yellow body and afterglow color is usually used
for warning tiles and the surface can be made anti-slip. For example,
railway station platforms can be marked with the Yellow Warning
Tiles that warn about the tracks and they can be seen glowing in
bright yellow color in darkness.

POLYCARBONATE TAPES
The Polycarbonate Tapes are very easy to install on various surfaces
and the surface of this product is resistant to scuffing. The adhesive is
already placed on the bottom of the tape which makes installation
easy. This photoluminescent product has only 0,2mm thick edges and
0,5mm thick center so it is very unobstructive.
The Polycarbonate Tapes come in many shapes and surface designs.
Since the material is flexible, the shape can be easily modified according to customers' wishes. Also the surface color and design design
can be customized according to customers' needs. The maximum size
for custom-made designs is 900 x 600 mm.
The Polycarbonate Tapes can be used in various locations on floors or
walls etc. to show the way to exits in emergency situations. If installed on the floor, the floor has to be thoroughly cleaned before installation and has to be flat without cellular structure. Thanks to the
unobstructive design and durability, it is also an ideal product to be
used as step-fronts to warn about stairs.

