Consulado Geral Britânico no Rio de Janeiro A2(L) Assistant Sector Manager Main purpose of job: This person will join the Energy team, with specific responsibility of assisting the Business Development Manager and Sector Manager on the Marine, Power and Petrochemicals issues specifically. Main Duties and responsibilities: Assist on the preparation of chargeable services (OMIS reports and visiting programmes), and Business Opportunities Assist with administrative arrangements for Missions (inward and outward Missions), Trade Fairs and Seminars, involving, when necessary, attendance at official functions Insert information in CDMS maintain an up-dated contact database, responsible for e-filing and paper filing for the sector Arrange BDM and Sector Managers’ meetings/initiative visiting programmes and organise nonchargeable visit programmes when required, e.g. for UKTI and FCO staff Answer basic non-chargeable enquiries (personal, telephone, letter, fax, e-mail) from Brazilian and UK companies Provide ad hoc assistance to other colleagues in Brazil Staff Management (intern) supporting the Marine intern Key competences required for the job: Making Effective Decisions Achieving Commercial Outcomes Collaborating and Partnering Delivering Value for Money The ideal candidate will have: Level of language required: Advanced written and oral English and Portuguese.
