Book Fair – Feb. 9-13:
Jumprope for Heart – Register by Feb. 11:
We encourage families to buy books during our Book Fair.
This raises money for library books and for library projects.
Parent Volunteers supervise the Book Fair after school
during the week, and then families enjoy a Friday Night at
the Movies in the church sanctuary. Please let Ms.
Nakamura know if you can volunteer [email protected].
Ms. Yamamoto and Ms. Laszlo are organizing our annual
Jumprope for Heart K-8 school jump roping festival.
They’re trying to get everyone to donate $5 and bring back
the parent-signed form by Feb. 11, next week Wednesday.
Their child will then receive their first rubber duck. The
money raised goes to the American Heart Association
efforts in Hawai’i. Students and parents may go to our

Varsity Basketball:
Monday, we’ll host Trinity, here. Tuesday, we’ll travel to
Hongwanji at 2:50 p.m.; we love our parent drivers!
Thursday, just the girls will play Windward Nazarene at a
Kane’ohe park. (They don’t have a boys team). We
appreciate our cheering fans. Games start at 3:30 p.m.
and usually end at 5:30 p.m. Our league tournament will
be February 23-28. Go Saints!

District Spelling Bee – Last Night:
Riley Albano and Anthony Sanders both did very well,
finishing in a 4-way tie for 3rd place last night. They knew
“cruller”, “benison”, “ukulele”, “obfuscate”, and more.

Valentine’s Grams for Friday, Feb. 13:
Our new student “Lifers Club” is raising money for fun
activities by selling Valentine’s Day grams for students to
send special packages to friends and staff in school.

Lutheran Schools Concert – Feb. 28:
The O’ahu and Mau’i Lutheran Schools join together for a
large band and choir concert each year. This year, we’re
performing at the Leeward Community College Theatre in
Pearl City, 7:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28. (Students begin
warming up at 5:45 p.m. on the stage.) Buy your $3
tickets from the school office. (Tickets will be $5 at the
theatre that evening.) Invite your friends, neighbors, and
o’hana for a wonderful evening out.
