The twin-shaft version of the industrial gas turbine SGT-200 is ideal as a mechanical drive for
compressors and pumps, since among other features it reacts flexibly to rapid load changes. Thanks to its
compact design and low maintenance requirement the turbine is particularly suitable for the oil and gas
industry. The SGT-200 can be operated as a mechanical drive over a wide speed and load range and
offers excellent speed and shutdown flexibility. The twin-shaft SGT-200 consists of a single gas generator
rotor with twin bearings and a two-stage overhung turbine. The rotors are contained in heavy duty casings
which are horizontally and vertically split. This design allows full site maintenance to be carried out.
Application areas are:
Drive solution for pumping applications including the transfer of crude oil, refinery products and as pump
drive for water injection
Drive solution for compressors in the area of gas injection, boosting pressure in pipelines, in gas
processing and similar applications.
