Mock Plane Crash Planned
as a Mass Casualty Disaster Drill
on Thursday in Greenville
WE FiNANCE
Hunt Regional Healthcare, the City of
Greenville, Hunt County Homeland Security
and L-3 are sponsoring a mock plane crash
for a mass casualty disaster drill which will
simulate the crash of a commercial aircraft.
This event is scheduled to take place on
Thursday, February 5th, 2015.
Area residents are being advised as there
will be police, fire and EMS personnel and
vehicles traveling into and out of the disaster
site. This drill is not going to affect regular
hospital, law enforcement or emergency
operations.
This is one of two annual drills meeting
the requirements set forth by the Joint
Commission. It is an opportunity for multiple
first responders to work together and gives
them the ability to gauge their readiness.
