ANNOUNCEMENTS
 ATTENTION ALL CHOIR AND BAND MEMBERS: Pops Concert decorating help is needed TODAY (after
school – 7 pm) and TOMORROW MORNING (Saturday) (9 – noon)!! ALL CHOIR and BAND MEMBERS are
requested to help out with decorations.
 FCCLA WEEK THIS WEEK!…… Throughout the week, the FCCLA will have a “NICE BOOTH” set up where you
can write a compliment anonymously (or not) to others to be put on their lockers on Friday. They will also be
hiding Paper Family Members throughout the school for you to find and whoever finds the most Family Members
will get receive a prize! The winning class with the most participation will win an Ice Cream Sundae Party and
for as many days you dress up, that is how many scoops of ice cream you will receive in your sundae!! (i.e., dress
up all 5 days = 5 scoops of ice cream!) Please remember to dress appropriately for the Dress Up Days. Thank you
for participating and HAVE FUN!
 The ENGLISH ACADEMIC TEAM will meet at LUNCH time TODAY. Bring your lunch, your folder, and a writing
utensil. Also read the poem, “Patterns” before the meeting.

DeVries’s room. ALL STUDENTS who signed up to be part of the Social Studies Academic Team are expected to be

 ATTENTION SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS: The YOUTH APPRENTICESHIP (YA) APPLICATION is now
available on the Shared Drive under HS. If you have any questions, please talk to Mrs. Roehl or Mrs. Bunyea.
 DROP EVERYTHING AND READ (D.E.A.R.) is next Wednesday at 12:15 for 20 minutes of silent reading. Please
remember to bring a book or magazine with you to 6th hour class. Remember… the Library is open at lunch on
Wednesday for you to check out a book, if need be. Classes will be on a different bell schedule for the day.
 ATTENTION ALL 2ND SEMESTER PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASSES (1st, 2nd, and 7th Periods):
ALL STUDENTS need to pay their $15.00 BOWLING FEE by next Friday, Feb. 20th. Fees should be paid in the
office.
 ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS/PARENTS WHO PARK/DROP OFF/PICK UP AT THE ELEMENTARY/MIDDLE
SCHOOL…. Please DO NOT PARK vehicles in the driveway for the alleyway across from the main elementary /
middle school entrance. You are blocking the entryway for families to access their garages. This causes a major
inconvenience—besides being illegal. Thank you for your cooperation!

 FLOCK’ YOUR FRIEND’S LAWN .... **The surprise Pink Flamingo Flock is temporarily hibernating until there's
enough snow to stand up in! They've already been frozen into the ground once already this season! You can still
book the flock, but they won't take roost until they can safely stand up and be removed. Thank you for your
patience! (100% of the proceeds go the ELGHS World Language Club Costa Rica Spanish Language Immersion Trip
– Summer 2015) THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

SPECIAL RECOGNITION
At the 2015 Elkhart Lake Chamber’s Membership Recognition Event
on Tuesday, February 10, two area organizations were recognized as being a
“Friend of the Community.”
These were the ELG EDUCATION FOUNDATION and GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH.
The ELG School District would like to extend their sincerest
CONGRATULATIONS and APPRECIATION
to both organizations on this well-deserved recognition.
In addition to being “Friends of the Community”,
they are truly friends of the ELG School District. Their efforts and generosity has provided
much assistance to the ELG school district and its families.
Thank you ELGEF, Grace Lutheran Church and all the individuals and community
organizations that support these two groups. Everyone working together has made a
tremendous impact on our district, and most importantly, to our students.

ATHLETICS - GO RESORTERS!
GOOD LUCK to the BOYS’ BASKETBALL TEAMS as they travel to Random Lake TONIGHT and take on the Rams.
The bus leaves at 4:40pm; the J.V. game starts at 5:50; and the Varsity game will follow at 7:30.
GOOD LUCK to ANDRES MUELLER and THE KIEL CO-OP SWIM TEAM as they compete at the WIAA
DIVISION 2 SECTIONAL SWIM TOURNAMENT TOMORROW at Plymouth. The pool opens at 12:30 pm and
swimming begins at 2:00. Winners of each event at each sectional AND the next 12 fastest individuals/relay teams
(not including sectional winners) from all sectionals will advance to the WIAA STATE COMPETITION next weekend
at UW-Madison. GO ANDRES!!
GOOD LUCK to the RESORTER CO-OP WRESTLING TEAM as they compete at the WIAA DIVISION 2
REGIONAL WRESTLING TOURNAMENT TOMORROW at Valders. The bus leaves at 7:30am; weigh-ins are at
8:30; and matches begin at 10:00. The top 2 finishers in each weight class will advance to the WIAA SECTIONAL
MEET next Saturday at Milwaukee Lutheran. GO RESORTERS!
SIGN-UPS – SIGN-UPS – SIGN-UPS – SIGN-UPS!!! SPRING SPORTS SIGN UP SHEETS are now up in the
office. If you are planning on going out for a SPRING SPORT, please sign up….. including DUAL SPORTS
participants. (Spring Sports: Boys’ and Girls’ Track, Golf, Girls’ Softball, Girls’ Soccer, and Co-op Tennis)
There will be SOCCER OPEN GYM every Sunday at the High School from 1 to 3 pm. This is open to anyone.
ELKHART LAKE-GLENBEULAH PRE-SEASON CAMP FOR SOCCER, FAST PITCH SOFTBALL, AND TRACK!!
Athletic Skills Camps for Speed, Agility, Strength, and Acceleration – The Camp is scheduled to take place HERE in the
HS Gym, March 9th – 20th from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Cost is $85 per Student-Athlete (payable to: Apex
Athletic Performance). Registration and Liability Forms are available in the high school office. If you have questions,
please contact the school or Girls’ Soccer Coach, Kevin Ruh.
LETTER JACKETS! The office has a number of letter jackets available in the office in varying sizes. The cost of the
jackets are $170. If there is a size for you, no ordering required; $50 deposit – holds your jacket. Please stop in the
office if you are interested.

GUIDANCE OFFICE NOTES & COLLEGE/MILITARY VISITS
ATTENTION ANY/ALL JUNIORS: If you are interested in attending BADGER BOYS STATE or BADGER GIRLS
STATE this summer, please sign up on the outer Guidance Office door. Badger Boys and Girls State is a time for
juniors from around the state to come together for a few days, on a college campus, and learn about our system of
government through a variety of educational and fun activities. And there is no cost to the student, as we are lucky to
have community sponsors that provide the necessary funds. Badger Boys State is held at Ripon College on
June 13-20. Badger Girls State meets at UW-Oshkosh on June 21-26. If you want to know more, please see

ATTENTION SENIORS!!! FAFSA COMPLETION PROGRAM….. Saturday, February 28th – 9:30 to 11:30 am –
UW Sheboygan Campus – Student Affairs staff will be available to answer any questions and assist students and their
families in the completion of the FAFSA. This program is open to everyone. Please register in advance by visiting

ATTENTION JUNIORS and SENIORS: Pharmacy Preview Day for High School Students – Saturday,
April 18, 2015 – This is an annual outreach event for high school students who are interested in learning more about
the pharmacy career and the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program at UW-Madison. High school students and
their guests will have the opportunity to explore the facilities, engage in lab demonstrations, and connect with School
of Pharmacy faculty, staff and current students. Rising high school juniors and seniors are especially encouraged to

ATTENTION JUNIORS and SENIORS: Pharmacy Summer Program (PSP) – August 6-8, 2015
(Application attached) This is a new three-day residential summer program for rising high school juniors and seniors
interested in exploring pharmacy careers, the UW-Madison Doctor of Pharmacy program, and the UW-Madison
campus. PSP activities include compounding lab activities/demonstrations, therapy lab activities/demonstrations,
faculty/student panels, pharmacy tours, admissions info-session, etc. The Pharmacy Summer Program is intended for
underrepresented students in the health sciences. High school students who identify as African-American/Black, Native
American/American Indian, Latin@, Laotian, Vietnamese, Hmong, and/or Cambodian are especially encouraged to
apply. An application is required and space is limited. For more information about the program and to apply, please
