Junior Designer
We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and creative Junior Designer with experience and passion to
work to support the Proforest Communications Team within the Proforest Group. The role of the Junior
Designer is to support our senior designer and the rest of the communications team to produce both
print and digital materials for the Proforest Group. This involves working on a wide range of materials,
including publicity and marketing materials, training materials, technical documents, websites and
other publications. The Junior Designer will assist with design and layout activities, and will be
responsible for assisting with projects from the initial concept through to completion and delivery.

The working language of the company is English but fluency in another language is an advantage.
Skills and Responsibilities:
You will need to be able to support the senior designer on a wide range of projects and, with support
and guidance, you will need to be able to develop your own design ideas, and convey them
competently to colleagues. You will also be able to take other peoples’ ideas and develop them
appropriately.
We are looking for the following skills:

Strong design, typography, colour, layout and formatting skills

Enthusiasm and creativity, with a passion for, and knowledge of design

Good attention to detail and an eye for quality

High level of competence in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and Microsoft
Office (for creating templates)

Good understanding of print production and print techniques (creating print ready artwork etc.)

Strong digital including website design skills (knowledge of html code, Drupal and/or Plone would
be a bonus)

Strong written and spoken English and an ability to share your ideas clearly with colleagues

Ability to work under direction and within a team, as well as working on your own initiative
Essential Qualifications and Experience:

Degree level or equivalent qualification in graphic or communication design

A minimum of 1-2 years relevant work experience


Location, hours, salary
Location: the position is based in Oxford, UK, but we are open to discussing partial remote / home
working.
Hours: full time but we are willing to consider a candidate wishing to work reduced time of no less than
80% full time equivalent.
Salary: £21-24,000 full time (or part time equivalent) depending on experience
