CO-MAJOR PARTNER Welcome A Chairde, It is an honour for me, on behalf of the Gaelic Football and Hurling Association of Australasia, to welcome you to the Michael Cusacks’ All Sydney GAA Championship. The “All Sydney” is fast becoming one of the key dates in the NSW Gaelic Games calendar, as it kick starts the playing season for coaches and players alike, and really sets the tone for the rest of the season in Sydney. I am sure that today’s games, across all codes, will be highly competitive as the teams and clubs involved are keen to seize the first official silverware of 2015. I would also like to congratulate NSW ladies footballers Ciara Breen (Michael Cusacks) and Noreen Sullivan (Cormac McAnallens) who will both play for Australasia at the GAA World Games in UAE next month, in addition to Kieran Olwell (NSW President and former Michael Cusacks’ Chairman) who is the team coach and manager. It is a fantastic achievement to be selected to represent your adopted country in Gaelic Games on an international stage. Following on from a hugely successful Australasian Championships in 2014, plans are already afoot for Wellington this October, as New Zealand play hosts to the games for the first time in a number of years. We trust there will be a strong contingent of players from NSW across all codes making the trip across the Tasman, with the NSW ladies footballers vying for that all-important “4-in-a-row”. Finally, as we kick off another new season in Sydney I wish to pay tribute to all those who give freely of their time and expertise in running your teams, clubs and the NSW GAA Association as a whole – your commitment to the development and promotion of our games does not go unnoticed. Gerard Roe Secretary, Gaelic Football and Hurling Association of Australasia (GFHAA) A Chairde, As chairman of Michael Cusacks Gac I'd like to welcome everyone to the 2nd All Sydney GAA Championship. After a few false starts the competition got off the ground last year and the day was a huge success. With the influx of new members joining Sydney GAA clubs showing no signs of slowing, this competition gives codes a welcome opportunity to get in some match practice before the upcoming season. Last years tournament saw many high quality encounters across all codes with Cormac McAnallens and Central Coast coming out on top taking two trophies home each. The Michael Cusack’s Club look forward to welcoming all clubs, spectators and sponsors out today and hope that everyone has an enjoyable and successful day. Daniel Ward Chairman, Michael Cusack’s GAA Sydney “I call for the Irish people to take the management of their games into their own hands, to encourage and promote every form of athletics which is peculiarly Irish.” Michael Cusack, Founder of the GAA LIVING, WORKING OR TRAVELLING ABROAD? It was decided to give the club a name that would ensure a strong identity with Ireland and Sydney. The first Catholic Church to be built in Sydney also built by Irishmen, is St. Patrick’s, therefore creating the link with Sydney. The word Craobh means branch and it was used in the early 20th century to describe local movements that were established to encourage and promote Irish language, sport, music and literature. We are now a club of about XX members are always looking for ways to grow and improve. www.facebook.com/craobh.phadraighgaasydney Hurling Camogie Player Club and County Alan O'Neill Coleman O’Brien Damien Kelly Darren Quinn David Kelleher Lorcan Broderick Denver Kelly Gary Maher John Kavanagh Padraig Moriarty Jonathan Caffrey Kevin O Gorman Peader McGeehan Richard Breen Sam Gibbons Seamus Og Davidson Thomas Maher James Loonam Michael Phelan Joey Dohney Daniel O’Brien Damien Shanahan Danny Hanlon Darren Webb Cappawhite, Tipperary Kilbrittain, Cork Dunloy, Antrim Dunloy, Antrim Killeragh, Cork Clough Ballacolla, Laois Dunloy, Antrim St. Molleran, Waterford Clough/Ballacolla, Laois Borrisokane, Tipperary Crott O’Neills, Kerry Ballygiben, Cork Crao, Kilkenny Emeralds, Kilkenny Craobh Phadraig, Kilkenny Craobh Phadraig, Antrim Craobh Phadraig, Kilkenny Cula, Dublin Gortnahoe, Tipperary Emeralds, Kilkenny Bride Rovers, Cork Cappamore, Limerick Carrick Swans, Tipperary Dunloy, Antrim HOST AUSTRALIA’S GET TOGETHER TO HELP BEAT CANCER Player Club and County Fiona Martin Aileen Kirrane Aimee Maloney Aine Howard Aine O’Donnovan Aisling Fitzpatrick Aisling Kyriacou Alana Madden Alison Duggan Alison McDonnell Alma Connelly Amanda Creighton April Smith Bronagh O’Farrell Claire Conroy Claire Dolan Eadain Doyle Emma Hogan Emma Nolan Gemma O’Neill Gemma Sammon Geraldine Hayse Gillian Costello Grace Carr Graine Fox Helen Ward Kathy Robinson Kay Cooney Lisa Sullivan Marie Treacy Mary Theresa Gleason Miriam Fitzpatrick Monica Mullaney Niamh McGrodder Niamh Reddan Norah Kinane Olga O’Connor Rosie Keogh Sarah Buttler Sinead Wheelan Stacy Hogan Susan Breen Teresa Connolly-Hughes Theresa Stevenson Zoe Power Turlough Moir, Galway Craobh Phadraig, Mayo St. Rita Fethard, Tipperary Craobh Phadraig, Meath Craobh Phadraig, Tipperary Craobh Phadraig, Kilkenny Craobh Phadraig, Wexford Craobh Phadraig, Meath Craobh Phadraig, Kilkenny Craobh Phadraig, Dublin Craobh Phadraig, Galway Eire Og, Roscommon Craobh Phadraig, Kilkenny Miltown, Westmeath Camross, Laois St. Rynaghs, Offaly Craobh Phadraig, Wexford Camroos, Laois Craobh Phadraig, Kilkenny Donard/Glenn, Wicklow Craobh Phadraig, Dublin Craobh Phadraig, Limerick Craobh Phadraig, Kerry Craobh Phadraig, Cork Craobh Phadraig, Wexford Craobh Phadraig, Tyrone St. Bridgetts, Kilkenny Craobh Phadraig, Cork Craobh Phadraig, Cork Craobh Phadraig, Tipperary Craobh Phadraig, Tipperary Craobh Phadraig, Kilkenny Eastern Harps, Sligo Kiltale, Meath Craobh Phadraig, Clare Craobh Phadraig, Tipperay Craobh Phadraig, Waterford Kilteegan, Wicklow Craobh Phadraig, Kilkenny Clongeen, Wexford Carrick Swans, Tipperary Craobh Phadraig, Kilkenny Scotstown, Monaghan Craobh Phadraig, Cork Gailteer, Waterford “Some people say hurling isn’t very important in the scheme of things.
