Efficient algorithms for Strong Local Consistencies and Adaptive Techniques in Constraint Satisfaction
Problems (CSPs): research on the Constraint Programming (CP) area of Artificial Intelligence. Specifically, it
focuses on the development of efficient filtering algorithms for strong local consistencies that advance
relevant existing propagation methods for binary and non-binary CSPs. Adaptive propagation techniques are
also proposed, for the automatic selection of the appropriate propagation algorithm during search. The new
algorithms combined with adaptive techniques exploit the filtering power of strong local consistencies in an
effective manner in order to further increase the efficacy of CP solvers.
